The new animation kicks arse. It would be cool if we could get a decent undock animation now - instead of just waiting and then - blink - we're outside.

I think we should have to walk into our hangars, strap on our seatbelts, start the engines, do a 100 point check of all systems, and follow a "mini game" of flying our spaceship out of the dock without hitting anything. If you hit something, you have to pay to repair it and wait 15 minutes in the penalty box.

And if you can't do this with 100 accounts via isboxer, well then I'm sorry...

I want this to happen, as well.
I will build myself a gods-damned simulated pod cockpit, if this happens. My girlfriend can yell at me all she wants, while I'm making it... I will still friggin do it, or she gets no sex.

Can I sit in your cockpit when you have finished? I'm sure your girlfriend won't mind. And if she does mind, then she's not getting any love from me either!

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

More I've used it the more i like it. For new players coming into the game i think they would like the new animation as well. Not everyone is using stone age old computers.

im useing a 4000 doller computer with all my settings set to high and i dont like the damn thing it does make jumping longer then it has to and it gets awefully boreing to watch after 3 4 jumps

The question is, why DON'T we have the option to turn it off?

EVE is about customizability, so it doesn't make sense to not allow us to interact with the environment the way we choose to.

Saying that "it's here to stay" is kind of like saying "it's broken, and we can fix it, but we're gonna leave it broken."

F10 seems to be a simple and efficient off switch of a hard coded effect tied to a major game mechanic.

Make it happen automatically on jump and also don't display anything in "map-mode", then we're happy. How hard can it be ?

Should be easy, but then maybe it will turn out that EVE crashes if you continuously jump in map mode because map mode is an ages old grumpy piece of Python code and nobody knows how it works since the guy who wrote it left CCP and didn't had any documentation for it, and so with continued interaction between map code and system switch code may appear bugs and other nasties. Old cantankerous "black box" code may not like being reused.

And then, anyway, the effect only is annoying for long trips, and so the on/off buton should be easily accesible. The game is prettier with the effect on, just it's not fit to be seen many times in a row.

(If I was into that business, I would make a "spinning stargates" video montage replaying like 20 animations from 20 jumps in a row, seamlessly stitched together, just to show how dizzying it can get)

Doh i came back to eve with odyssey just because of the lovely new scan and jump animations.

EVE is a GAME and not a Excel Spreadsheet !!!!
If you can't stand flashy Game Graphics stop playing games !!!
I can't believe that still there are a minority of players who want eve graphics from 2003.

I really hate people who always complain about new things in eve.

Stop complaining or stop playing games, choose wisely !

Wading into a can of worms I'm sure, but here goes.

We ARE looking at this and considering what we can do. The back end system used by the client has changed which makes a "turn off" not a real proposition. We are looking at ways to reduce the nausea reaction some players are experiencing through other means.

It would be helpful if we got feedback about what in particular during the jump sequence is causing the most difficulty

I am sorry for those adversely affected,.

Good news.

Please add an option to disable the new jump animation. It's fun to watch once, but not 24 times in a row.

And, most importantly, never touch MY camera!

About EVE not being a spreadsheet. We're talking about the same game here?

I like flashy games! Cool I hate flashies that make me sick tough.Evil

Like you I can't believe the minority of pro-jump players in this thread that still don't get it.
Maybe inject some reading skills?

Some of us, esspecially in this thread are not complaining because it's new, again your lack of comprehension shows here, but the awesome, yes it's awesome, star gate animation makes some of us sick and others dislike it because it's very intrusive after more then 3-4 jumps.

So if I get this right, complaining is inherent to playing games? Shocked

Nope you came back to eve only to write this post here!!!!!

And I really hate people who do not read just a few of the posts before they absolutely have to come up with their bland post.
No one has said that they want your stuff removed but want an option to stop it.

""Stop complaining or stop playing games, choose wisely !""

What a great statement....i bet CCP would love for everyone who doesnt like the new warp to unsubscribe and play a rivals game instead.

I'm also thinking CCP love all the negative feedback they get as this is a sure way to get new ppl into the game.

Lets not forget we got all this shiny even though there are still things broken in the game that ccp thought could wait.

great job CCP. \o/

What this change and others (including the moving of the undock button) boils down to are, options.

CCP please keep this in mind when changing long standing effects and other things. Options are not a bad thing and will save you and players, headaches in the future.

Quite literal headaches in fact!

I love the new jump anims, I think they're nice and flashy, they just make me sick. Been finding myself playing less and less because of it.

My question is : why do you want feedback con test Server?
More than a dozen posts asked for a option to disable the jump and you, simply, ignored them and put it in production without any change.

What is your proposal to solve this problem? Do u have any?

Same thing happened in Incarna. Issue is ccp decides something and closes its ears sometimes, even if that idea is CLEARLY HORRIBLE!

CCP must learn to pay a LOT more attention on feedback on Anythign that will be FORCED upon us.

If this animation was on undock, and undock only.. would be bearable because would happen 2-3 times per hour.

+1 for option to disable transitions. I could play Retribution on my laptop but Odyssey is killing it.

(FYI: I do have a real gaming computer but I also like to play Eve when I'm on the road...)
