Small-business network tech here -- lost a server last year due to hardware failure. We had to build one from parts and restore (manually) from a two-year-old offsite backup.

CCP, you guys just cemented my trip to Fanfest next year -- I want to shake your hands for the dedication you've shown to your players in the past twenty-four hours. :)

Things slowly getting back together, awesome. Got to be a stressful time in the CCP offices, doubly so with the new expeansion rollout.

Seriously though CCP, please, no SP "compensation". Remember your roots. Sure, roll out +1 day on subs if need be (It's only $.50USD, no biggy if you don't).

This one wasn't CCPs fault, there's no need to apologize, and if you aren't tagging a 10+ day skill at the end of your training queue, it's yer own damn fault.

Remember the six P's, kids. Prior Planning Prevents **** Poor Performance. Applies to yo skillqueue too.

21 day old n00b here but it seems to me that updating the forum thread isn't very useful when it is every bit as unreachable as Tranquility.

Having a media person keeping twitter & facebook updated would have been much more useful I think.

Sad Don't judge all Americans due to some children(relative use) choose to cry over a lack of a life because they can't log onto EVE. I, for one, am very happy with how CCP is handling this.

Lesser companies, such as Blizzard, will try to work through it while having the game running and players have a terrible time doing anything. On top of that, they would have people play with almost no security and not even let the players know about it. This happened with SWTOR(was kind of funny). At least CCP takes the time to be thorough and FIX the problem.

Out of all the years I've played this game, this is the third time EVER that I've had any issue with the game. I don't know about the rest of you, but that's a pretty damn good track record.
