Its a good thing I read this topic before I started "fixing" the broken game launcher again...

FYI, logon issues are persisting for South African Users.

Standard Desktop shosrtcuts give you an "unknown error" or failure to connect to server for online content errors....

If we run the eve.exe file, the launcher actually shows the loging textfields, but the play button is greyed out.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

Unable to sign in from Virginia, USA.
Also, the login screen to account management was in Russian.

Note:
Cleared Launcher cache then restarted launcher - patch downloaded - restarted ... (again) - no login prompts are shown.

I'm located in New York, 'Merica. I haven't tried the launcher (use ISBoxer which bypasses the launcher). I can log in, but after selecting a character the "Entering game as "[character name]"." step times out, and I get disconnected. Tried multiple times, happens reliably every time.

use the Exe file in this location C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin it worked for me and every member of my corp who is logged in

im on win7 64 your location may be a little different

I started up via the:

C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\exefile (windows 7)

and logged in

I don't know if someone else caught this but I ran the repair tool for OSX and it solved all my login troubles.

USA, New Mexico. The Launcher has been failing every time, though I managed to start the game manually using the workaround posted earlier in the thread.

Can't login with normal launcher window. All I get is a blank login area that expands across 2/3s of the launcher window.

I can login using the ExeFile.exe in Eve/bin however...

Launcher just started working!!!... BUT, it appears to be a Russian login screen?
I went ahead and tried logging in. But, the Play button is still greyed out.

Also, it wasn't us I swear...at least I don't think it was us. Nobody tells me anything, so I can't be sure it wasn't us, but it doesn't sound like something we would do, and if we did do it GRR Goons!
