Regarding the launcher, the update appeared to install successfully, however, I too am stuck in "offline mode".

I killed applicable processes, ran the repair tool (also appeared successful) and relaunched the program (from source, not a shortcut). The update installed again but I was still met with offline mode.

At this point, I came to the forums and downloaded the patch. Upon trying to install it (to the proper directory), I received the following errors: Error1 then after clicking OK, Error2.

Thinking there may have been a conflict between the auto and manual patch installs, I ran the repair utility then manually installed the patch again. This took care of the two errors above, but am still in offline mode.

Note: Bypassing the launcher works, my problem is the launcher.

Tried all the suggestions and have gotten no where. Just adding my : " Nice clusterfuck !" to the comments.

When did launchers to launch games become so popular. Soon we will have a launcher that launches a launcher which has collected all the launchers on your PC into a single launcher to launch your games from. Then you can launch your launcher to launch your game. Or just go to lunch.

Appears to work, but looks like it will clear your local settings. Be forewarned. What exactly was done to get this to work, anyone know?

well THAT was a frickin tease... Opened the app.. and up pops an update (on a Mac btw).. install the update.. and nothing flipping changed.. still just "incompatible protocol"... erggg

this is the result, at least there's a work around so i can still update my skills.... Someone s going to completely break their eve trying to do the workaround though.

Seems we really have screwed the pooch here CCP.

If this is yet another example of escalating ineptitude inside CCP it does not bode well for the release of the next box of frogs you throw our way does it?.

I am not having any problems logging in multiple clients but the screams of frustration coming down my phone and from other rooms in my home are EPIC in the extreme.

Just like your 'Compromised' inventory rubbish and not to forget the CQ 'BS' (edited for the faint hearted)

CCP has yet again forced down the throats of paying customers another broken product update that they already knew was broken before hand.

Now all they do is sit there hold up there hand and meekly beg for 'System Logs'......WHY! you already knew what the problem was before you released it yet you still went ahead and did it.

Now man up and roll this crap back out of the game so that people who pay real money for it can actually use it and stop hiding in that fictional world you inhabit and listen to players for once.

IF IT A'INT BROKEN DON'T TRY AND FIX IT.

I've now logged in with several accounts but so far only one seems to of 'stuck' in the username dropdown. This will totally mess up the order in which I want my accounts to be listed in the dropdown ...mind you, you've probably changed it to sort by username length or some equally obscure sort method.

Hopefully you can follow this - when you put in your username and use the tab key, its all good, goes to the password field. If you click on the dropdown list for any reason and then type a username and use the tab, it uses a username from the dropdown instead of the one you just typed.

Scrollbar on the Latest News is ******* atrocious, when trying to use it it appears to select elements of the text / other stuff.

You have the advert in the bottom left, I assume it cycles through several, however there only seems to be 1 (buddy one) and scrolling 1 advert makes it look like its flickering, looks totally ****.

Launchers are crap, but if you must persist at least don't get things like the above wrong, it just demonstrates a total lack of any QC, these are not hard things to miss.

CCP: This might be a good reason in the future to start doing manual patch downloads again when a launcher crash like this happens. Obviously your HTTP/FTP servers are doing fine if we can still use the website, forums, and manually download a new launcher.
