Is it possible that they just got it working?

I have an easy fix. A plex should be 360 hours of game play plus 30 days of skill training. if a person does not play 12 hours a day every day he or she may rollover their hours to next Month. Have a limit on this so it wont be 24/7 botters or afk campers. This will make the game better. People may log out then just going afk running up their electric bill and the internet traffic.
When CCP messes up... the payment is not effected. Because hours of play will go on skilling will go on as used. Now botters would just think they can get an extra plex to add more hours per month. Don't allow that. It cant be right for any one to play eve 12 hours days every day. That is a job or account sharing and imagine accounts that get used for twice as much every day. 360 hours are alot to play with.

I was not able to get the patch to download using the posted work arounds (using repair and opening exe through the bin folder) until I logged into the forums.

For those reporting connection errors, are you able to connect to https://client.eveonline.com/launcherv3 and http://client.eveonline.com/patches/win_launcherinfoTQ_inc.txt

For me the 2nd link finally worked after about 15 mins or so once it loads up the text file you have to go into your eve folder and start the repair.exe tool. It will begin to download all the fixes and should get you back up and running. My advice is to open both links in two separate tabs grab some coffee or food and come back when your done and hope to find one of the links has loaded the file and then you just start repair.exe and go watch Chariots of the Gods or something.

Thank you CCP Atropos I know people are taking it out on you but your doing great.

Also got this:

OFFLINE MODE
You are seeing this because no connection could be made to the content server or something went wrong while loading the online content.

Restart Launcher

If you guys happen to be looking for a web server performance and reliability specialist, I am sure I could make myself available :)

(Not entirely joking, EVE server dev is one of my three "I would leave the country for this" jobs. The game server interests me more than the patcher, but I'd happily do bits of both :P)

I've been getting the "Offline Mode" thing all evening.

Now I'm getting a pretty picture and it's started patching 534348-538542. I'm not sure if they got it fixed, but something has definitely changed in the last 3min for me.

Hey CCP, could you put your "Official Work Around"

Here...

Then close thread, I feel sorry for players having to read the unneeded stuff in order to get in game.

Hmm... after the incompatible protocol error, i retried clicking login a few times and suddenly i got an update message for a new build... now running the eve\bin\ExeFile.exe says that the update has been downloaded and asks to shut down the client and run the update... but the update fails... so next time i sart \eve\bin\ExeFile.exe it asks me to start the downloaded update again :O

TRY THIS !!Cool

1. Go to C: , go to Program files(x86), go to CCP, go to EVE

2. Click on repair icon , UPDATE/repair WILL START

3. While waiting for update, go to bin, click on ExeFile and make a short cut to you're desktop

4. When update is finished, then just clik on you're new shortcut

5. Good Luck, worked for me and I hope it will 4u2, so you can log in and hug those bellowed corpses P
