I can connect to both of the websites listed in the dev response but, I'm still getting the 'no connection to internet' error message when running the launcher.

I should have known better than to update for TQ after this launcher update died for my Singularity installation. Ugh

I'm trying the repair.exe in my EVE directory.
Now it is updating and repairing.
Hope that will fix the problem.

1. launch of repair exe updates the repair.exe themself.
2. launch of repair.exe updates eve.

I don't know if this was the actual reason I eventually got in, but the c:\Users\USERNAME\APPDATA\LOCAL\CCP\EVE
copy thing worked for me. THere were three folders, two of which pointed to the installation directory of Eve i.e. "C_Program..."
One had folders the other didn't...after copying folders from one to the other I got in...it gave an error but there was a launch button and I was in. Many are in gaming. Someone else posted this method earlier in the thread...again it might be a fluke, but I am in and playing.

http://client.eveonline.com/patches/win_launcherinfoTQ_inc.txt > Yes and No, First attempt finally timed out and reported that service was not available after about 2 minutes. Second time the site loaded after about 45 secs.

For everyone reporting the "no internet connection detected" issue, I would venture to guess, that the launcher is querying one of the 2 sites the Dev linked, and the reason the launcher is telling us that "No Internet connection could be detected" is because the pages are failing to load/respond within a very short response frame. So it inst really that the launcher isn't able to detect an internet connection, but rather a "Page failed to respond in a timely manner" error.

One other thing, where did the Launcher Settings button go, the little wrench and hammer icon for changing the way the launcher does certain things?

As they indicated it is a server side problem, not the launcher itself. Reverting to the old launcher wouldn't help. This is likely a case of a server dying due to heavy load, something that can happen everywhere. Remember the last time a major online game/expansion launched totally fine? Yeah, me neither.

Alright the lil' bastard of a repair tool (of course) started working when I wrote my previous posting. Ran through fine. Launcher still can't reach the content server but clicking on that button to start EVE anyway makes it fire up indeed and it works.

I found this in a thread.

Run the Repair Program in your Eve folder AS ADMINISTRATOR (causes errors and wont repair at end if you dont)

Run the game WITHOUT RUNNING THE LAUNCHER AS ADMINISTRATOR (this is located in the eve folder, in the bin folder, called ExEfile.
This was the only way I could start the game.
MS Calypso pointed the way.Thank you very much.Kudos to you!! ccp go **** yourselves with your latest abortion of an update.Nonstop incompetence just goes on and on.
Anyway much gratitude to MS Calypso.

Oh reverting to the old launcher would help because that wasn't dependend on the webserver afaik.

Look on the bright side at least they didn't mess up the boot.ini again and hey a lower PCU means less lag.
