For a game well known for how pretty it looks, i'm shocked these exist and haven't been optionally released yet. My CF 6950s can't wait!

I don't think storage is the main explody bit, it's more like the gpu running out of memory space and just going 9999c' and "melting" from all the extra work.


The biggest hurdle to not having a separate pack is client download size. Textures that are 4 times more detailed are 16 times larger. So if the current game has 2GB of textures, the HD pack would be 32GB. The Internet is getting faster but 32GB is too big to make it the standard client. Hence it would be an optional extra.

I cover quite a lot of the universe, odyssey is ok but is pretty much more of the same we've had for past 3 expansions polish and balancing things which should've been done right first time.

Don't get mad bro at someone feeling very disappoint at dust outweighing eve about 2:1 all weekend on streams and the final keynote.

Yes there is cool stuff but not enough meat on the bones
