It has been 9 months since the last dev gave us an update about this (at least, in this thread). Is this still something that is being discussed? Is it anywhere near a priority? I'm tired of explaining to my superficial so-called real life friends that those 'could-be-better' textures of my ships' looks don't make the game any less awesome!

Yes, I support it of course. Only if the download and use is optional and it doesn't take time away from other work that is more important and focuses on all users.

I want EVE in ultra high definition as well. It would be great if the high res texture pack could be enabled and disabled in game to reduce possible lag when pvping in a large fight.
Please move forward with this CCP.

Take Low-Res graphics into the shower? No thanks, we'd rather have new and improved High-Res Eve with added wow, look how shiny it makes my hair (what's left of it).
