but yeah, bring on the hi-res pack. i'd venture to say most people playing eve have a decent rig.

From the art panel this year: Everything is ready texture-wise. CCP Just needs to come up with a good way to distribute it. And before they do that, they have to know if it's worth doing. So the more pages this gets, the more likely it will be noticed.


This thread has been around for almost 2 years now. Let's push this to 200 pages and maybe then we can get a new bluepost in the thread.

Yeah, I saw that panel- they said it's ready to be deployed, but the team that handles the launcher and what would be the distribution of the texture pack is the last step they have to overcome.

Just freaking put the texture pack out on a torrent file and let us capsuleers absorb some of the bandwidth costs. I'm assuming that is what the problem is, atm.

Please do this! The low res backgrounds look so much worse on higher res monitors as well. EVE is touted as a beautiful game, keep it that way CCP!

I too would support this, especially if there were a new Gamma option made available so that we could actually see all of that hi-res goodness.

I play zoomed in a lot, using a 1440p monitor the blurred textures and lines make me cry.
