So, your great innovation for a Minmatar navy BC variant is to:


  • Resurrect the pre-nerf 'Cane (sort of)
  • Slap a hideous camo paintjob on it
  • Price it at 3x-4x what a standard issue 'Cane costs


Is that about it? Wow, color me underwhelmed.

As much as I like the idea of Navy BCs, I must protest your logic regarding the Myrmidon. The Brutix already (as stated by others) has 3 iterations, the original, the useless Eos, and the Astarte. Now, you're adding the fourth. Another brawler ..oh dear.

The Myrmidon should be in there simply because all the other factions had their version upgraded from the current stable. The Myrmidon was iconic for a good while before you nerfed it to hell and back. Your logic sets the Gallente BC line as an orphan. Do you want to create an OLIVER TWIST?

If you do decide to change your minds, bring the Myrmidon back to its full glory - and with more buff (drones! and guns!). The Cane has got to have something more too, as is it doesn't seem on par with the rest... or maybe you have something else you're not telling us.

Another thing, is the ridiculous amount of LP for non-FW. 250k LP and 100kk is stupid. How does making FW store so ridiculously cheap at 50% less and 10kk (10 percent as opposed to standard store) make any damn sense? Farming FW is already so bloody easy these days as opposed to the grind in hi sec LP stores. All it does is make FW LP farming even more rampant than it already is. If you have to make it fair, bring it in line to a more logical level. 125k LP, 50 kk at the very least.

The new and improved line of the first Navy cruisers e.g. Augoror I really like as they've been abandoned for such a long time.

And finally my last comment, which has no bearing on the blog, for the love of EvE, please fix the Moa, Imicus and the Dominix models. These three are the godamn ugliest ships since 2004, a time when your spaceship designers were taking too much LSD and came out with these three misshapen monsters.

Overall, this blog is quite epic but I am more worried about the BS TEAR-cide than anything else

Hmmm after taking a closer look at the Fleet Cane, It's not as mirrored to the old cane as I first thought given the lesser PG and cap. My error no doubt at taking the description at face value.

We went with the ships we considered to be the most "iconic" BCs for each race. There was lots of internal debate about Brutix vs Myrm but Brutix won out.


So who's side were you on in this debate eh? Team Myrm or Team Brutix?

Make a Guristas Myrmidon; with Missiles, with Drones, with a tendency towards shield-tanking (if it has to be). Pleas do not abandon this great hull.

I was leading team Myrm but I'm also super excited to fly the Navy Brutix. Also don't let the looks fool you, under its skin the future Eos is going to be the T2 Myrm you guys have always wanted.

How did you forget about the Celstis??? Definitely the worst looking hull in EVE. I actually kind of like the Imicus (although I wouldn't oppose a rework) and I have grown fond of the space potato over the years. It's like the red-headed stepchild that fucks everyone up when they look away.
