These are actually done now, and are in the backlog to be distributed when our database guys come back off of summer vacation. Shouldn't be too long.

They'll be in the form of a decoration added to people's character sheets, and will be issued by Mordu's Legion Command.

Alright! Progress!

Thanks, boss Falcon!

Recommendations:

-enable ships wobbling in hangar view (pre-Captains Quarters)

-add more missions (NPC fleet vs. NPC fleets that actually shoot)

The Muryia’s Wings decoration has been awarded to you by Mordu's Legion for for involvement in Operation: Highlander. This decoration has the following description:

This ribbon was awarded to selected capsuleers involved in the Battle of Caldari Prime on March 22nd, YC115.

The battle saw the destruction of the Caldari Navy’s Leviathan-class titan, Shiigeru, and the end of a five-year-long siege on the Caldari people’s ancestral home world, liberating the citizens held there behind a wall of steel. This ribbon reflects not only the efforts of the capsuleer bearer to restore peace to Caldari Prime, now a demilitarized zone, but also the noble sacrifice their crew made to ensure that the turbulent situation on the planet was brought to an end. Mordu’s Legion Command offer our most profound gratitude for your efforts.

Lastly, this decoration also serves as a tribute to the bravery of the late Admiral Visera Yanala, and her heroic efforts to minimize the damage to Caldari Prime after the Shiigeru was assaulted by Gallente forces and over a thousand capsuleers in low-orbit of the planet.

Thank you, CCP Falcon, and everyone who helped work on this project! It may be small in the grand scheme of things compared to player-made jumpgates or new ships and an industry overhaul, but you can sure as hell bet that the Live Events community and everyone who was affected by that battle, its aftermath, and the events spiraling from it appreciate your efforts!

Especially seeing as how these were added on top of emergency server maintenance last night. :P

Great job, sir! (and yes, some text is cut off, and it's not listed as the most recent award given, but I'm sure that's known by now).

Received and appreciated.

The fact that there's ONE decoration and not two, as well as the reconciliatory tone of its description, raises hopes for continued Gallente-Caldari entente.

TBH I'd guess that's because of technical problems with figuring out which side people were on, but it's really nice that they can do a single decoration and still have it work with the lore so well. I love this stuff for the solid lore. Big smile

I was at this event, FCed the fleet for my alliance, got on killmails with people in my corp that DID get the medal, and yet I failed to receive one. Why is that? How can this be rectified?

Perhaps send a mail to CCP Falcon, explaining the situation (and send proof in form of screenshots/killreports?) It was a very chaotic battle, where several people suffered alot from disconnects, so can be that some logs of players were very unclear to CCP.

Also did a publication on the handout to raise awareness to people: Mordu's Legion awards Caldari Prime combatants!

^^ As can be seen here some of the text has been cut off :(

That said, it's great for my alt to finally have it :D

Anyone else think it's about time for another huge Highsec Live Event? Something people can get organized for like this one..

Not I.
After the issues with claimed railroading of the C.P. event, and then the utter failure which was the into of ghost sites, I think CCP should start back smaller scale. A lot of people got burned between those two events, and the 'big' events carry a lot of feeling that players have no influence on them at all.
They need to build fresh trust, and also work on improving the ways in which players communicate with them. In game PM's do not seem to be working well, or they are selectively ignoring a lot of them, either of which is a bad state for things to be in.

So, Small events to build both of those.

From what a recall the "ghost sites related one" was done by diffrent people that usual.

Thing with the "big ones" is that after some point they become no diffrent than giant tidi battles where you get people from all the major coalitions... they stop being a live event and become a simple grindfest/killmail whoring.

With above commentors in mind, there have been a few CCP events between the Caldari Prime battle & the Ghost site event. These events were smaller scale & revolved around the ousting of Heth from the State. They still did gather attention from those that follow ingame news.

If you like to stay in touch with events (CCP & player organized) please join the Live Events channel! Do keep in mind, due to the sporadic nature of events, tehre's quite some non-event related banter in this channel, but it remains the best place to keep track of most events

Also, after the debacle of the Ghost site event, there have been a few small events as well, Guristas chasing a prototype, a training battle for new capsuleers, simulating a fight between the 4 major factions in EvE (part of the CCP help program) and not to mention another large event!
This event was the Provist Manhunt, an event that received positive recognition from the players, I made a summary of all the Provist manhunt events: The Provist Manhunt Summary

So indeed CCP is working to earn back the trust they lost on the Ghost event. It is also correct that PM atm isn't very reliable, due to the lack of a Live Event team. As long as there isn't a new Live Event Team, I doubt there will be large events with deep lore interaction, as that needs alot of work. It'll either be large events, directed to a certain outcome, or smaller events that leave more room for player/actor interactions.

Big smileAttentionI am doubly thrilled. I was not sure if Ché would get this medal, as he did not take part in this battle, but not only did he receive this one, he also has a reason to show it, thanks to the description. Not sure if you also had characters like this one in mind when you thought that line up, but I am very grateful that it's there.
