I shot none of the right people.

As someone who flew logi without the seemingly requisite warrior Drone for getting on kms, I don't think there will be much evidence i was there, other then the logs and a few screenshots.

I would like a medal for this but since none of the other live events gave medals i dont know why this would be that much different.

Sometimes, you all make me very disappointed.

Doesn't mean they can't award a medal for this event.

There WAS a question of how we'd recognize logistical pilots in FCORD Live Events chat; my solution would be exactly as you mentioned-check the logs.

That and sometimes we get some developers who pop into Live Events; they can always check the logs or talk to the fleet commanders-there's a list of logistical pilots. A few clicks of a mouse and those pilots are recognized. In fact, I think CCP Falcon popped into Live Events just yesterday when the New Caldari demonstration was in progress.

Recommendations:

-enable ships wobbling in hangar view (pre-Captains Quarters)

-add more missions (NPC fleet vs. NPC fleets that actually shoot)

-STOP NERFING EVERYTHING!

I just spoke with CCP Falcon in FCORD "Live Events" chat. He tells me he and the staff are examining player feedback of how to handle awarding the "ribbons" in question to people.

I wanted to say thanks to CCP for taking player concerns into consideration. :)

One discussion I recently had with some colleagues focused on how to award medals en masse to people, if the idea of medals were to be pursued.

Aside from the other ideas I listed here, I was thinking that if medals from CCP were truly confined to being awarded based on corps enlistment (i.e., can only award medals to people in same corps), CCP could theoretically invite recipients into special corps, such as the Federation Navy or Caldari Navy themselves if possible, or even Faction Warfare, and award them that way.

I'm not terribly sure of what kind of powers CCP truly has in terms of game mechanics, but, by default, I'd say anything is possible.

Ah, are they actually profile medal decorations, or just items only 0.1 m3 in size or something like that?

It shouldn't be done based directly on kills. For example in my case for some reason I have not received any registered kills on the Federation fleet yet I fired MANY missiles at them that night. Yet kills I did AFTER the capital ships (against Federation loyalists) have all registered.

This might also pigeonhole people who metagamed by shooting the Titan just to receive the kill, but would generally be State loyalists... Serves them right but a little leniency doesn't hurt. ;)

Sorry guys, I thought I'd already responded to this one.

So, we're looking at how we can take care of this, player concerns taken into account. I've spoken with quite a few players over the last couple of weeks and taken on board a lot of feedback.

Obviously as eagle-eyed EVE players, you've noticed the two decorations that were created as ingame items. These were intended to be distributed depending on how things played out and what criteria we decided upon as a result of the event.

Given how many people were involved and how crazy things got, we're looking at alternate solutions. Please bear with us while we take your feedback into account and decide on a solution that will be the best for everyone.

Thanks, Falcon! Glad CCP is on top of this. :)

Hey, don't worry. In today's militaries, it can take months to get awards squared away, given how many people potentially qualify.

See you in space!

So, some feedback on this.

I've spoken to the storyline team with a proposal and descriptive stuff after gathering feedback from you guys. The proposal and the content has been approved for ribbons that will be awarded as a real decoration in the character sheets of those who qualify rather than an ingame item.

However, our content team is intensely busy in the run-up to Fanfest and the summer expansion, as such the decorations won't be making an appearance in your character sheets until a little after EVE Online: Odyssey is released on June 4th.

It's just going to take a little time to get this done since there's a lot of commitments in the run-up to the summer expansion, but the ribbons will be full decorations that will be displayed in the character sheets of those who receive them.

Thanks for your feedback on this guys, its been much appreciated and we hope you're happy with the outcome. Smile

Even though I have personally yet to participate in the live events, I thoroughly agree to this, and if someone who is following the live events wouldn't mind getting ahold of me in game to discuss HS events wtih, I'd appreciate it. :)

I moved myself and another pilot to Luminaire the day before the event. I did surveillance on the Titan for hours and setup warp in points for whatever was to come. When I tried to log in at various points before the actual battle I had to choose between logging out or moving next door. Real bummer but at least the turn out for the live event was good.

Even if I don't get a medal I know "I was there" and was able to participate using my mercenary on the ground. Shame the Caldari are still there. We should have kicked those bastards out.

It'd be good to get CCP-sponsored medals for live events and such. I'd, personally, like to see ribbons in the game as well (even if they're just a variation/skin of medals) as they seem far more suited to 'tour of duty' and 'you were there' awards. Medals are for singular achievements.

Yeah, sadly the system filled somewhat fast. I logged out in Luminaire the day before, and I logged in maybe 2-3 hours after down time, and the system was already more then half full. It reached capacity before the Event even started. If you can for the next Massive Live Event try to log in at a safe spot after downtime and leave the computer running so you can come back to it and attend? Though I must stress only try something like that if you're sure you can get back to the computer for the event, it'd suck to have people just afk wasting space in local through the whole event floating off in a safe spot.

Yup, this is quite unfair for those who jumped dozens of gates to defend one side, only to be greeted by a message saying the maximum que has been reached, for several hours until the event ended.

Obviously those who actually partook in the battle took the greater risk by having their ships destroyed and etc, but another thousand of us players were on the other side of the gate, waiting for several hours with unequivocal will to defend either side at a cost of their ships and implants.

This lottery based system that rewards the lucky few with a "limited time" one-time offer reward in a form of title is extremely unfair.

Please find a way to reward those who waited on the other side of the gate for hours as well.
