EvE ships are just too massive to land on a planets surface. Also you have the issue of being able to get enough escape velocity to get away from the gravity well of a planet. Lastly they create an awesome SPACE game and people wanta land on planets, really come on Roll

The ion boosters that the ships use are only meant for space, not for planetary flight. So, I guess if you wanted to land on a planet with a ship, it would need specialized boosters. The ion boosters would crash land your ship, severely damaging it. Or. if you somehow manage to land safely, the boosters wouldn't have the force to break away into the atmosphere, or fly period.

I'm 13 and I play EVE. I hope that doesn't change the way you fly in fleets with me. :3
