Is it wrong that I actually want more WiS content?

Though honestly if they want members they should try and fix bugs and issues which they keep adding and not fixing, and maybe have summer actually release something good like a NullSec revamp or more work on that area.

Anything is possible after $1,000 pants and christ have you seen what OOPE has become? It used to be a place I browse for cool RL scientific stuff, but now its biggest threads are the freaky ones

I once saw someone quit EVE. One minute he was subscribed, the next he was gone. At this rate, EVE will be dead in the next 300,000 minutes or so. I give it 200 days.

I think one of the main problems with Eve is that flight is so uninvolving - click here, orbbit this, warp to that. You'd think it's not beyond the wit of the developers to add in an option for joystick control.

Whenever you investigate a large population, you expect most trends to simply move upwards and not hover back and forth around some kind of mean value, right?

Oh wait, the DOW is down 2 points today. This is terrible news.

I'm coming back from quitting the game for a year or two. That being said, it might not be dying just yet, there are players returning, joining etc.

A lot of it I think comes down to the game itself, it's very in depth and most "MMO Players" nowadays are expecting a WoW type of game. You know the, "tell me exactly what to do step by step and make my character awesome instantly." Eve requires patience which is a trait even the most mature individuals lack. It also has a hell of a learning curve.

I don't think Eve is dying, I think it's at the moment lacking a good pool of players to choose from, but I mean, have you seen the people in the world? Obviously, we don't have the most intelligent, patient, rational race.

I have not been out to low/null sec yet since I came back so I can't speak on that needing a revamp or a few of the other things that have been mentioned. However, a game is constantly changing/improving/sucking, a "gamer" knows this and sticks with it if they truly enjoy the game.

I have seen a huge increase in little children joining Xbox live, I can only imagine they're the same ones who want to play a space game. Then they take their Velator to low sec get popped and scream about how this game sucks and then they quit.

So, IN CONCLUSION, blame the parents for not making their kids go outside.

Why yes, I belive they do... although I often find myself thinking of them more as "remotes" than emotes. Probably because of the buttons. Smile
