Well it looks like they released a patch for the NPC warp off issue, among a few other minute bugs. Thanks CCP for attempting to address these issues as fast as possible. Sometimes you don't know everything a patch might break in a game with as much coding as this until it's released in the wild.

in the right click menu "Invite to Duel" being right beside "Add to Watch List" is not exactly the best place.

the new camera shake for your ship being hit is annoying and useless, please separate it from the camera shake for warp which is not so violent and actually a cool effect

Hurricane and soon-to-be Sleipnir pilot here: Keep up the good work.

Drake was always stupid, Cyclone missle-boat is a cool way to sit next to it's sister Hurricane. Minmatar are supposed to be dynamic and adaptable, a hybrid between projectile guns and missiles. If you don't like it, get out of the Cyclone and get in a Hurricane, there's a ship JUST for you.

And Drake pilots, put skills into a real weapon :P

Finally, Salvage Drones can be sent salvaging with a key. Gone are the days of having to lock up (at least the own) wrecks. The salvage outcome is still comparable low, but then again these drones only remove side effects in my case.

my 2 isk on the subject is..... WTF! seriously! are u on crack?! CCP, God gave all people free choice! stop forcing people into your plans. CCP doesnt want people to be caldari. obviously since all caldari ships now suck so much worse then any other faction they obviously are planing on removing them from the game right? i mean its the only logical choice. all caldari ships that were decent are nerfed. missles are the worst possible weapon for pvp yet because the drake is a popular ship it needs to be nerfed to be less popular. if CCP ran the government we'd have to burn all our hondas and toyotas because we should be driving whatever CCP want us to drive.

i started playing back 3 years ago and i researched for about a month before i created my character.
i chose a race based off the technology.
yes i can fly anyship i understand that but i spent years training skills for a particular race.
now those skills are useless.
shields useless, missles useless, u must fly mimnitar or we will just keep nerfing you.
i dont want to use lasers, bullets, hybrids,neuts, ecm but now i have no choice.
so i have a new year of training to suffer through so i can be effective with weapons systems i dont care to use.
i have max missle skills. my ship was doing 20% more dmg 1 year ago then today.
i had 27% more EHP on the same ship 1 year ago and i trained more skills during the year.

this is what happens when the devs are allowed to play the game.
whatever they want they give themselves.
shame they are all mimnitar.

i had 5 accounts i closed 2 and when the last 3 accounts run out of prepaid subscription time you will have lost 5 accounts from me. Thanks for ruining a game i truely enjoyed playing.

So does the removal of passive shield resistances from eg Adaptive Invulnerability Field mean that skills such as EM Shield Compensation become meaningless? I mean if the module doesn't do anything while switched off (ie provides zero bonus), what's the point of a skill that adds a percentage of that bonus when they're switched off? Or what am I missing?

Yeah was thinking that too. My thought was that hardeners that still have a bonus switched off are basically shield resistance amplifiers. Maybe CCP wanted to make the amps something viable, and remove that tricky versatility you have switching hardners on and off. Amps when off, Hardeners when on. Tranquility is off-line right now, so I can't see if the compensation bonus applies to amps and hardeners...
Just my thought. Haven't tried it out yet.

Having only trained the shield compensation skills for the added bit of security when they're off (that jita undock with a few extra secs of black screen for one) i'm more than a little hacked off with losing that bonus.
Not going to cry over it but it does annoy.

INFO ABOUT THE BONUSES:
Before the patch:
Battlecruiser Skill Bonus:
5% shield resistance
5% bonus kinetic damage of heavy missiles and heavy assault missiles per level
7 Launcher slots


After the patch:
Battlecruisers skill bonus per level:
5% bonus to all shield resistances
10% bonus to kinetic damage of Heavy Missiles and Heavy Assault Missiles
6 launcher slots


For this comparison to be fair you have to understand that the bonus only applies to kinetic damage heavy and heavy assault missiles.
Any other type of missiles will have a lower DPS than before and the drake is not nor was it ever ment to be used with other than kinetic missiles.




THE MATH AND DPS RESULT:
(Observe that there are no damage upgrade modules included in this test and all skills that affect damage are set to level 5.
This test uses heavy missile launcher II's with T2 Fury missiles)

So ,
Before the patch:
1 launcher did 30 dps without the kinetic bonus. (Javelin fury missiles)
With the kinetic bonus it did 38 dps (scourge fury missiles)


So without kinetic missiles you had :
30 DPS per launcher and 7 Launchers = 210 DPS Total
With kinetic missiles you had :
38 DPS per launcher and 7 Launchers = 266 DPS Total




After the patch:
Still all skills at level 5 and still no upgrades

Without kinetic missiles:
30 dps per launcher.
6 Launchers * 30 DPS = 180 DPS total (less than before)


With kinetic missiles:
45 dps per launcher.
6 launchers *45 DPS = 270 DPS total ( more than before )


The buff gives you more DPS if you use the correct missiles and you dont have to use as much ammo to get the job done.
The nerf would be that you are less fortunate if you have to use other missiles than kinetic.


I hope this clears stuff out for atleast a few people.

I have noticed this for weeks perhaps even months. It only happens occasionally, and more often when im running multiple clients. But it is an old issue

they still effect the passive modules.

Been trying for days now to find a different kind of income... cause Sansha ratting in a mjonir HAM drake is just not possible anymore (with my skills)... Thnx for taking my only viable form of income from me CCP.. Just cant kill a Sansha BS anymore... now I'll just have to wait till my skills get better before I can start making ISK again... You really know how to spoil my fun in the game!
I was really patient .... just a couple of weeks ago I was finally able to kill Rats in belts without having to jump out.. Now I can't even kill one Sansha Lord or other BS at all anymore... Bonus to Kinetic is nice for some ppl but totaly useless for me being in Sansha space (EM & Thermal)... Tried all other races bc too same story though. Just lacking both DPS and Tank now

Plz consider making all the BC a bit better again... Because I'm not just going to be paying for just having my training queue active for very much longer, not being able to do anything else....

Why are the Minmatars being punished every time?

Cyclone is now a Caldari ship, result of weapons change to missiles?!? and the nerf of the ASB. It's useless, weak and with no specific role. 5 mid and 5 low slots and a very limited cpu and pg, don't help this ship in any way. It's plain useless and a loss in the minmatar fleet.

Hurricane is a pale shadow of what once was the most dangerous and versatile ship, which was fine as the minmatar were supposedly the most feared race, commited to pvp, above all others. The Hurricane lost everything from a highslot to powergrid, ehp, speed, etc. Not to mention it has a lot less bonuses than any other equivalent. It has been the most nerfed and battered ship in recent updates without an understandable reason, penalizing all Minmatars.

It's nice to have ships to specific roles. Not nice is to invest time training for a ship cause it suits the role we want, and see it being mutated, changed, modified to something else, after that long period of training. It's not very respectful to players and weakens this game's credibility. If you need more roles, create more ships. We all would love that. Rebalancing is not killing ships or adding disproportionate advantages to others.

Why Minmatars are being punished?
Why Gallentes are being so beneficiated?
Why change Caldari's and Amarr's ships as they were fine already?

i'm sure i'm talking to the wind here. Afterall, it's up to ccp to make this game awesome. What i don't like is feeling like a pawn.
If I pay for a TV, I wouldn't like the company to come to my home and swap the TV for a toaster, just cause they feel like it, and think that's fairer for everyone....

I suppose these changes are cyclical and there isn't much that we (the common players) can do. Therefore I eagerly look forward for the time of Minmatars with the certainty that these changes don't help EVE in any way.
Add new features, don't change the game.

Other than the persistance issue im liking them, when in an incursion zone it always annoyed me i couldnt hide them. And allowing us to change the autopilot settings without opening the map screen was long overdue

I have managed to kill them in mission sites with heavy scourge missile since the change. It might just be a case of you having to improve your skills a bit more, are you using t2 launchers, im finding good dps from them.

As annoying as it might be have you also considered moving to another area of space where the rats have different resist profiles e.g guristas or serpentis areas, both have weekness to kinetic damage. Each of the racial ships have boosts to the damage to the rats common in their area (amarr lasers do good em/therm damage, gallente hybrids do good kinetic damage)

You could even change to a different ship altogether (i realise again this takes time) but the reason to change the drake was it became the go to ship for to many situations, the point is to bring all the ships to a similar level. I fly a drake, it is far to easy to make money with them when compared to other ships, putting caldari pilots at a natural advantage. You could give the cyclone a try, since the change its a pure missile boat, and cross training shouldnt take to long, although it is active tanked

was running 3 accounts on 1 comp before update, now cant run 2 accounts for more than 16 minutes before 1 of the accounts says not responding and goes white. lame! why does ccp insist on obsoleting good comps? this game is not worth buying new comp every couple of years.

No, it's an amazing ship now and if you get past your prejudice you might see that.
I can get something like 70k EHP on it, do around 500 dps of literally any damage type I want out to about 17 km (which is better damage projection than the old Hurricane), I can be more agile and faster than the welpcane, and I can also fit two medium neuts.
There's nothing that tells you that you can't train for missiles if you're a minmatar only pilot, and considering that there are many minmatar ships that use missiles as well as projectiles I'd have thought there would be less complaining about this.

The only particularly significant loss the Hurricane had in the 1.1 patch was the 8th high slot. As you mentioned it was the most dangerous and versatile ship, and I didn't want to admit it to myself at the time, but the Hurricane was slightly overpowered. A small nerf to speed (but not by much), and small nerf to agility (but not by much), and a pretty much unnoticeable change in tank (Cane in 1.1 lost 16 struct HP, 47 shield HP, and 188 armor HP).
Pre-1.1 the Cane did have a nerf in PG but this was not severely detrimental to the cane's ability to do its job, and in any case it was merely intended to compensate for the corresponding decrease in PG use of medium arties.
In short, the only thing you've REALLY lost on the Cane is the 8th highslot for a second medium neut - albeit it's the two free utility slots that really made the Cane dangerous and overpowered.

Personally, I couldn't give a rats a*# about the route lines, waste of time and useless. Do like the new skins for npc drones tho (don't know if that came out with this or earlier...) and I agree BIG TIME with comment about little changes making HUGE difference in game experience!

To this point, I note with utter DISMAY, that a lot of little (what should be COMMON SENSE alterations) still have not occurred, such as;
why the f*#^ can't we have some organizational order choices ?!?!?!?!?!

What's that, you say? example one: Notepad - why can't notes automatically appear in alphabetical order? so simple....
- or by date created if that's what a pilot wants....
example two: People & Places - same thing when creating new Bookmark and having to scroll through all
the folder names which aren't in any f*#^ing order - makes it sooo painful
example three: PI - why can't the manufacturing info for ALL products, P2, P3, P4 have their material
requirements listed JUST LIKE SKILLS requirements are listed and tiered elsewhere
- it's bad enough having to click-to-death keyboard after keyboard just to mine
something but also having to click info window after window after window might lead
to carpal tunnel syndrome and then lawsuits thirty years down the road/wormhole

It IS the little things, after all, which make or break a great gaming experience, and I'm sure these are but a few, little ones.
