So far the only issue for me is that the captain's quarters takes FOREVER to load now.

I remember reading some old posts/blog that this was a problem for a lot of people when it was first implemented. I only started playing about 2 months ago and have never had an issue with it until today.

I have this as well, the game sticks on loading Captains quarters and doesn't actual load until I open the character sheet. I am getting delays on button pressing (not through system or network latency).

I wonder, having been away and just come back. If I was to look back over the last 12-24 months of patches and supposed expansions, how much new content has there been implemented.

So far I've seen lots of ship rebalancing and UI updates. No offence meant but really that is quite pathetic really. We have a poorly implemented Captains Quarters that doesn't seem to do anything but add load times, a planetary interaction that has the absolute minimum of actual interaction and still complete lack of, or any attempt at improving anything other than fleet battles.

If you would like people to spread out into other areas sort out the insurance, even some tech 1 frigates can't be insured for their market value.

Ironically being a space game we should have a game of limitless potential and instead have lots of empty space with generic structures you can do very little with.

Please stop ******* around with the ships, UI and all the other pointless crap you have been sending staff to work on and add content, not just for high sec but the game in general! But hey, don't worry, we have pretty lines in space. Ugh


was running 3 accounts on 1 comp before update, now cant run 2 accounts for more than 16 minutes before 1 of the accounts says not responding and goes white. lame!

I've been getting random client closure when running my usual 3 or 4 games. Just started after patch, I also received the first ever BSOD from EvE on this machine.

Same thing happens with me, drone window flashes, disappears and comes back in the minimised fashion. Unfortunately in some of the missions I can't tell which drone has aggro there is no indicator until they get badly damaged and disabled or just go pop.

Nah man they screwed BC owners, I am caldari myself and i use both drake and ferox, i always preferred ferox for reasons but used drake on occasion. Now i WILL not use drake and ferox is crap. That's not the point. I don't want to be forced to use only a certain type ship to do what i need to at that time. The thing that brought me to this game ( years ago ) was the fact that so many options are available on so many ships that you could outfit to your liking. The whole curtailed and role set mindset that all these mmo's are taking as of late is just bad business for us, good for them. As people would just be able to hurry look up the best outfit and just get that then doing research and outfitting to there need for what they are doing. People are slowly being forced to use only a certain type setup to be-able to compete with other setups or you are left behind if you choose not to use that certain setup. I am not going to get into the argument about how this ship is better or that can be better if you do that, that is the whole point for having options so you can choose for yourself what you think is better, even if others think it's not. Not pre ordained rules.

Roll up a 03 or even a 06 or 07, and tell me about the choices you had then.

Being able to refit and choose what and how you like to set things up is great! I am all for it, but not being forced into a certain setup on a certain ship of not my own choosing. I am sure some will agree with me and some will not, that is the great thing about having options and choices! But they are all slowly getting turned into ( "cookie cutter fit" ) that's all good, but what is the point if you can just look up the best fit put it on and call it good? so you can go out and fight and kill other ships that have the same cookie cutter setup? will that not get boring when you know every fight will be the same> and everyone will have the same fit? do you get what i am saying? it's hard to see and watch choices slowly get ripped away from being a long time player like myself.

They do not FORCE you to fit a certian setup by simply removing one launcher. Quit crying already :)

Eve is now dead for sure what a shame I was once telling myself that EVE is a game that I will play forever after the last year of all this nerffing that has been going on has changed my mind I think I will be closing my accounts for good this week so good bye EVE online forever]Sad

The turret that was removed on the prophecy is one of them that was in a place that didn't look stupid. Please fix this, it bugs me to know end that one of the wing turrets is missing.

I'm Gallente because I liked the starting attribues of this particular race, but I soon started flying caldari because I wanted to passive shield tank (missiles seemed to complement this style of tanking so I soon began to focus on that as well). I like the idea that there have been more ships added that use missiles lately, but there are not many ships capable of passive shield tanking. Those who don't passive tank may not truly understand this. People are not upset about the drake simply because of a high slot. It takes a much longer time to effectively tank with passive shields than it does any other tank and to make that worse, there aren't many ships that do it well and the few that do require a lot of time retraining frigates etc because they may be for a different faction and/or use guns rather than missiles, etc. Anyone who has used a drake knows that their dps was already terrible to begin with. The DPS issue, if anything, is more of a "straw that broke the camels back" kind of thing. Passive tanking in itself is a drawback in some ways compared to other tanking since it requires fitting more slots all around just for that purpose and by default produces lower dps when compared to active tanking.

I think that people are upset because of the time spent training to be able to use a drake effectively and to now feel that they have basically wasted it. Firstly, there are very few ships available for you to use. Secondly, to passive tank effectively, it requires a lot of time maxing out several different skills that are primarily for passive shield tanking and now with the new faction bc skills, you are stuck even more with only being able to use your current faction and your class of ships...except that there is no faction that really specializes in passive shield tanking (like gallente specializes in armor tanking) so you will likely have to train even more if you need to find another ship that can tank effectively or if you want to have a passive tank HAC because drake is missiles while most other ships tend to use guns. Even among caldari, the number of ships that passive tank well are few and far inbetween. Hence the popularity of the drake...

When you talk roles, the drake already fit its role fine as it was. It was a lower tier command ship that countered its low dps to tank well so that it could do its main job more effectively - wing/fleet command. The popularity of the drake was not because it was just some awesome ship or that it was so much better than other ships, but I believe it was because there aren't many other passive shield tanking ships as accessible and effective at it to make it worthwhile. If you wanted to passive shield tank you were pretty much flying a drake because there weren't many other options available. The caldari seem to be the faction that caters the most towards passive shield capable ships so this just sealed its fate...

But the problem here is the mentality that if a certain ship has a high percentage of people using it, it must be overpowered. In an environment like Eve where you have so many roles and tactics in play...this should have been looked at from more angles than that. When you have a line of certificates angled at just this style of play it should not be a surprise that a high number of people would choose this ship when there really aren't many other alternatives within this niche tanking style. I hate the idea that I'll likely need to wait a month or so to train for the effective use of a command ship (although they don't look very promising) or even much longer to train some other faction to "try out" another ship that may or may not be effective at my preferred style of tanking.

I hope that one day there will be a faction that was dedicated more towards this style of tanking so that those who enjoy passive shield tanking wouldn't have to feel trapped in only being able to use a mere handful of ships. This way it wouldn't be so necessary to have to try other faction passive tank ships just to find one that works for you.

Yea Im with you I don't plan on reativating the 3 accounts I have either.

And Komatose adding insults to someone just cause they have a different view than yours just really shows your age and how childish you really are. Bet u never have flown a drake or a cane and your probably one of the ones that complained about them. What Cause you lost to one and you was in a destroyer trying to take on a drake.

Everyone else has already said it. Most everyone here is complaining about the Ferox get screwed but the Drake took an equally large hit for what it was. Losing one of its launcher high slots more than less defeats the point of the ship. In the hands of a high skill level pilot it can easily compete for damage with entry skill battleships... but thats kind of the point of this game.

the point of the game isn't to balance a Drake with a skill lvl 5 pilot with a BS with skill levels around 2..

Just means my T2 rigged drake will now be sitting indefinitely. It can't possibly compete losing 14% of its dps.

So at this time you've either eliminated the need for cruisers or battlecruisers for entry level pilots. No reason to spend wads of initially hard earned cash fitting out a tanker BC when for the same money you get a BS that is vastly superior.

I was really patient .... just a couple of weeks ago I was finally able to kill Rats in belts without having to jump out.. Now I can't even kill one Sansha Lord or other BS at all anymore... Bonus to Kinetic is nice for some ppl but totaly useless for me being in Sansha space (EM & Thermal)... Tried all other races bc too same story though. Just lacking both DPS and Tank now...

So you're saying the drake is now inline with the other BCs? Mission accomplished!? :)

Are those numbers adjusted for scale? That is to say, are they adjusted to count for the fact that just about every noob to the game rolls a Caldari pilot at first and there are therefore more Caldari ships running around in PvP?

When and why was the F9 action for camera wiping out all windows and info who made it perfect for print screens removed? Is there any good subsitute for this lovely action?

unless you've screwed up your own settings and wiped the hotkey.

hit escape, pick the shortcuts tab. pick the general tab on that. you're looking for 'toggle user interface visibility'. second from the bottom.

ok, let me chime in on this from my own perspective on behalf of my multiple accounts.

the prophecy got turned into a drone boat, problem is, I already have 4 or 5 domis and 4 snakes at least 1 Gila all of which were/are drone boats and all of which have been pretty much made useless by the AI changes and now the prophecy has been added to the list of crap ships that once served a great purpose.
I didn't train or fit the prophecy to use drones, I trained that ship for beamage, i trained the drone ships to use drones and now they pretty much all sit in the hangar collecting dust or in a can if I've already gotten around to repackaging them.

The drake.
the drake isn't that bad, but, it's also not what it used to be either and honestly, it was a great little ship for a lower SP person to be competitive in. now, not so much until a higher SP lvl is reached if I understand it all correctly.

the resistance mod changes
I trained comps for a reason and I fly both active and passive fit ships.

the drone window in space has been borked for a long time, flashes out then opens minimized, not on every ship, just some.
persistence seems to be on the wrong things, my hangar's inventory windows constantly close when i re-dock, they used to stay open, same with corp hangar windows, if i had them open when I left the station, they'd open when i returned, now, they don't, same with my hangar, used to, now doesn't.

window placement.
for the most part, ship windows in space seem to be great about retaining their spot when I open them, in stations though, not so much, orca windows seem to hold out ok, but inventory and station windows don't.

anyway, i will adapt, I always do, and I'm not gonna emo/rage quit or profess to on the forums, I simply have to agree with the sentiments of so many folks here that you really shouldn't fix something that's not broken.
