Why isn't there an OOC story discussion forum? I find I often have questions about the lore / Prime Fiction of EVE that I'd love to ask more experienced and knowledgable players about, but there is (as far as I'm aware) no place to ask them. It would also be a good place for CCP Devs to answer questions about some of the little things in EVE.

I think that some sort of forum like that, in prime view, might help get more people into RP and Live Events as well because they would have a place to go when they're looking for information as they're building their characters. It could also have a sticky thread providing information about the major RP chat channels, and maybe also one about current events.

I think such a forum would get a lot of use, and would be a major resource for the RP community. Where I'm from we had countless pages of players going through and analyzing every detail of racial portrayal and game history with a fine toothed comb, and I expect an equally passionate and informative forum community could exist here.


The EVE Fiction forum is generally used to discuss EVE backstory OOC and ask questions to the community.

In terms of ingame channels if your into RP join Live Events and The Summit...both are player run channels which the Devs have sort of adopted as the official RP and Story channels and regularly visit.

The Summit is IC only and where you can occasionally find Ingame Characters from the EvE universe who are not players, they have yellow text and are run by devs, these guys are 'acted' as if they are actually from the eve universe so anything OOC said to them will get responses usually calling you insane and thrown out of channel..(Personally I think CCP Eterne and Falcon along with friends are awesome for doing this).

Live Events is where all the OOC happens and where the devs visit as devs (blue text) It is where you can discuss Story and lore or all manner of things OOC or fleet up when a Event happens, like the Summit it is Player run and has certain rules in which the moderators of the channel wont hesitate to block you from if you break them.

If your interested in doing Live Events then defo pay attention to the Live event forum/channel as its where you can get infomation and fleet up when one happens...also sign up to the FCORD mailing list run by Grideris which will occasionally send out relevant infomation

The Live Events channel also does at times have the same actors from The Summit visit (still in character). Also, you might also want to check out the OOC channel in game (it's exactly what it sounds like.)
