but they delivered DUST to all of us ,right?

Keeping in mind that that it wasn't entirely CCP's product, from developers to publishers...

So nobody at CCP is working on the integration of DUST?
The magical crosshair on the planets that don,t suddenly rotate anymore, was put in by magic?
Dust chat channels and EvE chat channels merging together was suddenly automaticly possible?
Bring able to damage a player another platform was always possible?

Nice word twisting skills right there, but okay.
My point is that CCP didn't do that alone. And when they do something alone, they release a hotfix patch they call an expansion and it takes them time that is actually enough to bring real expansion together.

Sorry for twisting your words . i did not mean to do that.
But at least somebody mentioned ,that i have skills ,normally does not happen.

I know there was a team for making DUST work on the unreal Engine, but in order to make the integration working, a lot is done to EvE.It probably took more Dev time then we think to get the two platform communicating together.

And there is why i make sometimes negative comments ,WIS can,t have dev time ,but a feature used by 50 % of the playersbase can.if it will be used by 50 % at all.

It's like CCP is terrified of achieving its own vision.

I haven't read them yet. Is it really that bleak? It figures, I guess.

Oh, is that true? if so, POSers are welcome to the club. There's plenty of room here.

The minutes make no mention of anything WiS related.

Here's what to expect: more iteration, nerfs and buffs of current ships.

Here's what not to expect:

  • POS Revamp
  • Anything WiS related
  • New ship skins, custom textures, etc...
  • Anything that would make PVE less tedious (drone AI just made it worse...)

The long and short of it is, if you're not enjoying the current game, there's nothing in the future that you should be looking forward to.

Well, apparently it's true... maybe POSers are lucky to get some functional improvement but modular POSes are not in the plans at least until after Sovereignty is fixed.

I guess that CCP Deliver just took another torpedo to the flank...

I'm going to write something I really hate.

I don't agree with the post I quoted, but I think you're onto something with the second life stuff.

After reading the CSM minuts, I got the distinct impression that the only way we'll ever see anything in EVE beyond FiS stuff is when it's made as a game that isn't EVE.

Yes indeed, I feel like one day WiS will be EVE: Walking in stations (the game).

As apposed to the virtual sci-fi simulator they always touted it to one day be.

A bunch of seperate games, connected by a chat box, and maybe a gameplay connection that can be ignored, in the "EVE universe".

And it's bullshit.

yeah it is bullshit ,but according to most of the anti-WIS people ,this is just what we wanted.
EvE is becoming a mission portal for another platform and the worst thing is ,we have to have approval from that other platform to shoot at a planet.
So congrats to all anti-WIS people ,you got what you wanted.
A big expansion for all of the EvE players that own a console.

I guess Ghazu owns a PS3 and he is happy

I am new to EVE and was unaware of the whole Incursus RP WiS split amongst the community beforehand. This whole topic is bizzarre coming into it now. The opinions seem to be split 50/50, however, the one thing we can all agree on is that EVE is the best game ever. We should welcome all content so the game can grow and evolve in new ways. The coolest thing about EVE is that there is so much to do and that quality attracts different kinds of players. Don't be short sighted and throw fits about one expansion that is not geared toward your preference when the next one will be. The game has succeeded for 10 years for a reason.

You guys keep on forgetting that I want wis, but on my terms, would you like me to repeat what my terms are for wis?
Please, think about this for one moment. Consider the difficulty, the conceptual challenge about putting avatar gameplay in a game like Eve.
Other games enjoy established archetypes, and straight forward logic.

FPS: yes you are a guy running around shooting other guys with guns, your body is your avatar.
WOW: you control your character, you work hard to gear up, and your avatar wearing that gear looks really badass, your avatar is swinging its weapons with its hands, magic shots are flying out of your hands etc, it's avatar gameplay, it wont work without avatars.

You can't really play the above game archetypes without avatars.

Now consider diablo 3, there is an avatar, but everybody looks the same. Believe it or not I spent some time on my characters portrait, I really thought about it and steered away from the usual hawt big torpedo boobies look.

Also I admit I've played WOW. I've done my errands at Ogrimmar market. There are taverns and chairs and etc, and I don't see anybody emoting over there RPing or whatnot. Everybody is just spasming spaming jump at the AH, it's dumb as rocks why would you want that noise in eve, the only sanctuary from such cheese, let everything else be cheesy but please don't change eve into that.

You played WoW maybe recently when kids took it over and turned into a huge kindergarten. But back in days when WoW vanilla was hard as fok only those used to emote on Orgrimmar bank whom had a very serious reason.. like me working my ass for almost 2 week to get my warlock mount. And that was a huge achievement that involved a lot of running, gold and constantly working with the guild to get pass through those insane challenges. Also WoW market was pretty similar to EVE where you could make a fortune only by scanning and scamming the noobs and stupid people.

WoW was an awesome game, but turned into a sh1tpile due to the constant nerfbats demanded by the big mouth crybabies whom did nothing just to spam the forums and asking to dumb down the game. And Blizzard, the money hunger whore had to listen to kids just because the company wallet and those fat suits in the ceo demanded money over quality :/ EVE have the chance to grow without being a whore, but if you guys keep bitching about every improvement, that will never happen. WiS need to happen, shooting dots in space is now already obsolete.

Everyone jumping around in WoW is because it's a game full of ADD kiddies (adults). If they aren't doing something, they get antsy.

And I'm not embarassed to admit, I ran a 200 man guild in wow.
I was that guild leader that organized what I guess some would call RP type events. Races, fishing expeditions, raids into the other faction quest hubs. We weren't RPing, but I managed to keep together one of the oldest guilds on my server, that was responcible for the development of some of the top raid guilds on that same server, by doing non traditional things that emphasized community and fun as aposed to the raid or die mentallity to causes so many guilds to simply fall apart.

It was a running joke that when me and my officers quit WoW, a guild was guarnteed to die.

I'm a firm believer in social ativity in an RPG, because I built a community around that very idea, and it succeeded where others failed. And whenever I left, that social reinforcement left with me, and the guild always crumbled.

All the SIGs are somewhat social, but I'll be goddamned if there was going to be a avatar-enthusiast SIG.
