4 so far on one page actually. I'm sure they will each pony up a couple hundred bucks to be able to dance.

I might be bleating but then what about the constant moaning and whinging of the anti-anything-that-might-involve-avatar-gameplay types like you that keep posting in these threads?

Ghazu wants gameplay and i think everybody here wants some meaning to WIS.
And yes there will be a sideaffect and that is people want to meet each ohter with avatars.
Like every thing in EvE in the Fis part everybody looks for the things they like and in WIS some secret sort of gameplay or maybe socialysing
To bad that Ghazu repeats himself in the wrong way and is not to take serious after the constant Barbie obsession

What sort of gameplay CCP thinks that it appeals the masses?
As crazy as it sounds ,but we have to wait to fanfest.
All the discussions about WIS here on these forums are ridiculed by discussing it with half drunk people at a festival.

Unless you're a female with a female avatar, which is doubtful considering your aggressive and abrasive attitude, accusing guys who have never created a female character of wanting to play barbie is hilariously hypocritical.

Not that there's anything wrong with guys who have female characters, but glass houses and all that.

Fanfest Round Table attendees are generally sober since the round tables happen during the day. Hungover, perhaps, but sober.

Oh good, we can put you down for a few hundred dollars donation then? Might be easier to simply transfer to a game that you could already dance in.

Of course since of course it's the VAST majority of players who want WiS and we 'anti-anything-that-might-involve-avatar-gameplay' are simply a loud minority, that kickstarter will be very well and quickly funded and you'll only have to invest like 2 or 3 bucks, tops. I'm sure.

If you donate extra they might give you access to a special dance move!

I can't answer this question for you. You must search your feelings and answer it yourself. You may find a part of you secretly wants to feel pretty and emote strange men.

Well, the CSM minutes said they had 100 or more items of clothing that were finished but hadn't been released yet. Shortly after that they released 20 items. What happened to the other 80 or so that are done? Surely it would require little to no dev time to add them in?

I doubt this is what the Carbon comment means though. I presume they are referring to the in-game item Carbon, which is in fact a lump of coal. The one that people regularly sell to daft Jita residence for the price of a freighter.

I think it may be intended to have a double meaning, but now that even FiS uses the Carbon engine it could mean anything.

I've been asking about this for months and months since they mentioned those 100 items of clothing. CCP should rename to NASA ... Never A Straight Answer ...

I already pledged $250 to Star Citizen. If Eve set up a kickstarter for WiS i would drop in some money too. I'd pass on the dance move though, unless there is a WiS mini-profession : pole dancer =)

You know, I was just thinking this the other day!

If CCP wanted to, they could very easily measure just how much people are willing to "put their money where their mouth is". That is, they could open a couple of kickstarter projects: WiS for EVE, FiS for EVE, etc., with very specific commitments outlined. Not some nebulous stuff, but actual, hard, well-described gameplay elements that people could essentially buy for EVE. And see what happens. If there's enough player support for WiS, people would raise enough money. All CCP would have to do at that point would be to deliver on their commitment within a reasonable timeframe.

So yeah, I definitely support the Kickstarter and WiS idea.

Hello again,

I want to say a couple of more things to get us on the same level:

Regarding the extra clothing items that have not been released, there are indeed a large amount of new clothing assets that just require publishing.
Team Avatar got some of these out to you already but due to almost 100% of our focus being on prototyping we never got round to releasing them all. We were also waiting on a pricing structure being given to us.
However, in saying that I know for a fact that there is talk internally regarding these items going on, so the when/where/how's are unknown to me specifically but I'm pretty sure you will see these items sometime in the future.

As for the Kickstarter idea, I can do nothing more on it apart from bring it to CCP Unifex's attention. :)

Thirdly, Team Avatar wished to publish a dev blog that showed the prototype that we worked on so that players who couldn't attend Fanfest got a chance to see it as well. This blog was delayed due to the team being re-focused and what eventually came out was a message from Unifex instead.
It would be nice to still publish this at some point.

Finally, to try and make everyone happy, the gameplay prototype we created required the players to be in specialised suits.
So along with new gameplay, you would also be getting various new clothing items based around Sites. So nothing casual and flashy, but various cool looking spacesuits. So technically you would still be getting new 'clothing' as well.

Okay, I'm spent for now but i'll keep an eye on this thread and try and answer some questions when I can. Most of the questions I have found on here are already answered in various other WiS themed threads however, so if you're unsure about something, just go check them out.

All the very best.
