Trouble finding PvP suitable for noobs

I got some buds who are playing the game, one is trial and another resubbed... he only has about 2mil SP.

Now the problem is .. I got them into the game by telling them how awesome the PvP was. ATM all they have done is PVE and nothing else.

I can't find anywhere to take them that won't get them constantly blown up by pilots with higher SP or have us get blobbed by terrible pilots over and over again.

I was thinking the best option would be wormhole PVP but those take ages to scan and you would be lucky to find somebody you can kill.

So basically, where can I take these guys for PvP that they can see (we don't have to win, just not terribly get owned over and over) and NOT have to wait hours just to get one fight.

Anybody have any ideas? (Don't suggest RVB). Thanks.

Gank FW targets between Amamake and Houla. There's plenty of fights to be found in that region.

FW?

Also being a grunt in a nullsec blob requires no personal skill at all and SP don't really matter as long as you can sit in a Drake in case you can bear the mind-numbing boredom associated with that kind of PvP...

The type of PvP they want and I'm interested in is small gang.

no blobs and no faction war / RVB. Other crap.

Is there anyway that 0.0 can work?

FW is good too but you don't have to join FW to kill the FW people. You can just gank them which lowers your sec status and makes you look cool.

Edit: FW is small gang PvP.

OUCH uni for the win.

I did the course, it's great, it teaches any noob how to survive in null and you they get you some kills on their bubble camp. Great way to start.

They have a graduate recruitment program where you can join better PVP corps, Sniggwaffe for example, highly recommended for all noobs to PVP.

If you guys are 3 then it's more then enough to get kills, 1 tackle/dps 1 jamer +drones 1 pure dps and lets rock&roll babe !

Of course you'll get killed dozens of times but you'll get a hell of a blast when you realise you don't need 150billion SP to mess with some vets day.
Many vets have awful or fleet fits, many use turrets so use tracking disruptor and jammers, jam the heck out of them disrupt them, shoot shoot shoot !!! -after a lot of try you guys will get better at acting together and control your target ability to fight back.

Dam, you guys are 3 !!!

There are also some guys fleeting up without corp/alliance pre requisites to roam low/null and get some kills. Those are often good guys with nice pvp skills, try to join them, go tackle stuff in cheapo throwaway crap you don't give a dam.
Fit a point a web mwd and some tank then "varouuum !! Varoum !!" folowed by "bràtàtàtàtà" Lol
Have fun !

Yes yes, I know about this.

The problem is where can I find these vets playing solo for us to kill them Twisted

When we say FW, we dont mean JOIN fw. Just go to FW space, and blow up the pilots in the complexes (Piracy). Piracy always gets the new guys interested because they think RARRRR I JUST BLOW UP A SHIP AND THEY DIDNT WANT TO FIGHT!

Hmm, is this as easy as it sounds?

I was under the impression that those pilots just warp out the second somebody comes into the site? But I guess that thats wrong?

Are there any systems you can recommend?

We went to tama a while before (I'm not familiar with lowsec too much, I've always just gone straight to 0.0) and my noob friends got blobbed by bads because they can't warp out fast enough :)

Have them join Flying Dangerous. We take lots of low SP pilots, stick them in low SP ships, and we kill ships worth far more than the fleet. Example: 3 bil mach killed with t1 fit t1 cruisers. We have also killed a thanny, Sin, Kronos, etc with these ships. Even in our BC or BS fleets we constantly need low SP pilots to fly low SP ships to get tackles and do EWAR. It's a lot of fun. IMO it's the best Alliance to be in Eve. But I am a little biased. Blink

I've never had any of them warp out. If you point them and shoot with one gun, you can sometimes escalate the fight. Last week I ended up getting chased by about 18 guys lol.

I've been out of it for a couple of years, but FW offered quite a bit of small gang warfare back then and used to have quite a bunch of players and corps that would easily mop the floor with most bigger nullsec alliances in the small gang department.

You can't really compare it to RvB, which (at the time I gave it a try on an alt) was merely a glorified meat grinder that produced killmails.

At least the FW areas are relatively well populated and have frig gangs.

If waiting for fights to happen and finding targets you can take down with a couple of frigs is your problem, WHs are most certainly not the way to go.

In K-Space 0.0, you'll mostly encounter either empty systems, bubble camps at chockepoints, blobs or ratters that safe up as soon as someone enters the system.

Well, those are clearly a little bit everywhere but don't carry any tag so you only know when you spank their arse.

You'll have very little to null chance finding those in low sec, most of those places are full of vets with several alts scouting cloack, POS off grid boosting, prober, and very often backed up with some/a lot of dudes so you clearly have some chances but extremely limited.

In null you have to learn how to deal with bbles: never warp from gate to gate, never warp directly from the closest planet to said gate without checking your D-Scan because chances there's another bble in line to get you are strong.
Often you can find solo guys over there or small gangs, you need to learn how to avoid fights when you are at disadvantage and make your own safe spots. You can also cross some large gangs up to fleets and then it's your ticket home.

FW seems to be a nice place but when I say seems I know nothing of very little about FW, never got interested this gaming style.
You can also apply to null sec or low sec corporations where you'll learn how to live there, get group or solo lessons on how to improve your style and ship flying.
You can't imagine how nasty 900K sp rookies in rifters/atrons/condors/excutioners can be to red fleets and clearly ruin their day even if at the beginning those had the numbers or ship types advantage.

You need to read corporations forums and find out those that might stick to your goals and then take a deep breath, pod jump and go out have fun learning (which means die very very often, but this is how you learn in eve)

Yeah, if it was up to me I'd just do WH pvp. I know how to deal with all the different types of threats in the lower class wormholes. The problem is just the time investment.

But that aside.. What are the best systems to do hunt some FW targets? I don't think the most active systems would be a good idea, but instead somewhere that has a nice balance between being quiet and busy at the same time. Know of any good middle grounds?

Thanks so far guys.

M-O in Tribute or HED-GP in Catch, alternatively- anywhere in Syndicate. You will die, you might get blobbed in HED-GP depending on the time of day but you will certainly see some pvp. Keep in mind that the people you find there are organized killers looking for targets and have fun!

When you do blow up, analyze what happened and why it happened, what you could have done differently, reship and go back.
