Yea, we've had discussions on this. Unfortunately this is how CCP reports the killmail. It doesn't specify how many were originally part of the group or how many were actually destroyed. There are too many assumptions to be made to give an accurate number here.

For many years NPC killmails didn't show up on killboards. Then some people started showing them, and asked that zkillboard start showing them too. After about a year of numerous requests from various people, I decided why the hell not. Eve is a game about explosions, we should all be proud of our little explosions :D

Also, NPC kills do not count in stats on zkillbaord, so your killboard numbers only reflect PVP stats.


You are right, explosions are cool but not the NPC losses people get from DC or whatever, this is not cool...

SheetMon_V2 a gdocs spreadsheet what pulls lots of stuff, feel free to make a copy :-)

Hi guys, i have a question about the zKill API and importing stuff into spreadsheets, i used for example this:

=IMPORTXML("https://zkillboard.com/api/group/463/losses/xml/","//victim/@shipTypeID")

and this worked till a couple days ago, if i use just the url and put it into the browser it works but sadly not longer in docs there is always an error message about parsing not possible, idk was there a recent change on formatting or what can be the problem?

Nothing has changed. Not sure why GoogleDocs would complain, but they can be a bit testy at times when it comes to XML

edit: I lied (not on purpose), someone else had an issue similar to yours and I looked into it. A change I made did affect the xml return on the APIs. It has been corrected. Please accept my apologies.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or not but is there any way to implement (optional) color blind mode? I'm red-green color blind and it's extremely difficult to see the difference between kills and loses. It would be so cool if there was an option for alternative color background for kills/loses (green/red).

Log in if you haven't aleady, then in the top right click the dropdown and select Account. On that screen you can choose from several different themes, the default one is cyborg, the rest are varying colors. Others with color blindness have had success with other themes.

Does anyone provide a web form query builder that taps into the ZKB database? Or are such things frowned upon, as they might put too much strain on the DB? (Perhaps someone has made a separate server / copy of the DB.) For example, I might wonder how many drakes were lost by corp X, between dates A and B.

Hi everybody,
It is not very important, but I met the little following bug :
- I killed that unfortunate guy with one of my bombs : Marius Domi.
- But the kill doesnt appears in my own KB, although I was the only murderer.
I posted that kill several times without any result.
Is it normal ? Is it a bug ?

I see it listed, maybe you were just looking at a bad time and seeing cached results. Check Sep 3, 2016 at 18:53, you'll see it in your kill history there.
