Ive heard rumors that, eventually when implemented, if you place your PI command center in a district controlled by dust mercs friendly to you, you get a production boost. But nothing about seizing assets, or destroying assets, or interaction with the customs office. The dust planetary command center is a different item than the one for PI and different from the customs office.

I noted no blue prints for any dust items. Anyone know how they get produced?

Well that would go with DUSTies having their own command center and production facilities.

If I had to bet I would guess you will see DUST BPOs when DUSTies start using them - but that EVE players will only be able to trade them.

Maybe DUST production facilities are not up yet. Pretty sure I heard final item production would be kept unique to each game -- i.e. no spaceship built on planet and no tanks in space. Don't remember a specific reason for that. Might just be code management for each game. But I hear hints that some materials and components might be share d to link economies.

Or maybe CCP just figures there is no point in allowing EVE players to see DUST BPOs that they cannot produce -- especially if DUST BPOs cannot be traded for some reason (free/classified by planets/etc).

Obviously DUST items can be shipped and purchased. But until station walking returns I doubt DUST items will work for EVE players. Again I would guess that is code and workload management. Be a long long while before the games merge to where you can be Merc and capsuleer with single client.

about voice comms :

battle comms (team and squad chat) are free, custom channels require an universal voice transmitter. they all cost one (1) aurum right now to allow testing of the system. typing is always free

there is a lengthy thread in the dust 514 forums about the 'pay to talk' incident.

because of :nda: I can't really talk about CCP's answer to the concerns, but there has been one. It was not bad.

I don't know a single free to play game that allows you to even create custom voice channels. I let alone on the ps3

Most large alliances it won't effect anyway, we'll just use Mumble or whatever.

Is there any details on SiSi about production of Dust Items anywhere?

Any plan to make UVT work for EVE client?

I mean I am near certain you can buy them and also that they do not work for EVE now.

But in future?

or is that seen as too costly in code for benefits to EVE? ...especially given that micro-payment issue of paying for bandwidth might be hard sell in EVE.

stayed a while on a system with dusties, but there's something missing on this patch : you allow us to talk, but they don't seems to be intersted in doing so :P

eve players have voice access included in their monthly subscription. charging extra for anything that is not purely cosmetic is terribad

I am a strong advocate for a free to play hybrid model, free limited accounts, 'premium' features for money and a full access account for 13 - 15 Euro. but that's not a decision I have to make (and i am very glad that I don't have to)

Typing on the PS3 is a pain, in addition to that, Local is kinda hidden away and it's not right in front of you when you're in station like it is in EVE.

There's no reason at all to watch local in Dust... so it kinda get's ignored.

right now there is no indication how eve and dust will really influence each other.

like nullarbor said, this is mainly a technical build, not a gameplay one.

I have said this before. I the nda makes sense right now, there are so many features not in a state where it makes any sense to talk about them in public. This does absolutely not mean that dust is a bad game. It means that dust514 is very beta.

OK... but if an eve pilot is called upon to provide support, can the eve player get into battle comms, so the dusters can talk to the eve player and vice versa?

Can we get faction/deadspace mods seeded on the market next time? It's a major pain, after having access to it before on SiSi.

Chat Communication Payement ? CCP ?

This is not a good move from CCP if they want dusties to pay chat coms, that reminds me of the first Eve Voice in eve which wasn't free too, but on a computer, other solutions exists so they were forced to give us EV for free.

Awesome.
Now if only dust wasn't a gameplay trainwreck that puts your ps3 at risk every time you quit it (which seems to happen before you can even play)...

Anyone else having issues with launching the mac client? When pressing PLAY button it closes the launcher, seems like the icon switches to the client icon and then dies with no errors.

MBP 13" latest model, latest 10.8.1 update.

Seems it got fixed by clearing both cache and user settings.

Nope. It was always the plan that these modules would be temporarily seeded and that was made clear prior to them even being seeded earlier in the summer.

Would you mind unseeding supers as well than? I don't really see the logic in giving access to etana/cambion, but almost no other faction ships, and supers without faction/deadspace mods?
