Maybe this ha been answered numerous thousands of times and I didn't see it, but is there a way to put stuff in the cargo hold to show the amount of ammo to carry etc (minor question)?

The bigger question I had was, does pyfa show your damage output type? Just like the damage pattern received, is there a damage pattern dealt output somewhere. I see I can chart my dps to a target, but can I spec out the overall damage types I am putting out?

Also, can you simulate two fits shooting at each other and chart it out similar to the damage graph?

...oops, and by simulate, I meant graph damage out against damage received and repaired etc...so not simulate but more graph...

This app is pretty awesome.

Suggestion I'm not sure where else to put:
  • Packaged m3 stat that shows the total m3 of the fit (with everything packaged including the hull)
This would make calculating shipping costs from market hubs a breeze.

Where are the fit files located on the comp? I am using google drive to keep the program on so I can access from all my computers but do not see where the fits are being stored. Is there a way to point them to another folder?

I just switched from EFT to pyfa - its great :) Thanks a lot! One thing I haven't found yet and hope i just missed it:

Mining Yield

A retty, hulk or mack fit without this information is just useless.

wasn't sure if this was asked before (couldn't find it) so I apologize if I just missed it.

How can I move PYFA to a new computer? I recently setup PYFA on my fun new Windows 8 pro tablet. I was easily able to export all of my fits and move them over via the backup fits and then import.

But what about all of my other data. I have a large number of characters, and damage profiles setup. I really dont want to have to manually re-key all of that data again.

You can just move over your .pyfa folder, it contains all your settings.

Just move over the c:/users/[username]/.pyfa folder to your new tablet

Trying to create a T3 strategic cruiser fit (Loki/Tengu/etc), but all that comes up is subsystem and rig slots. I am also unable to "copy from clipboard" a T3 cruiser fitting. All other ship types appear to work as expected.

Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)
pyfa 1.1.12

(EDIT) - I've deleted pyfa, downloaded, and reinstalled and have the same problem.
(EDIT2) - Apparently T3 cruisers work like this? You have to put in subsystems in order to fit anything else. Still can't just copy from clipboard?

Second issue:

On Help -> About, clicking "pyfa home page" link at the bottom goes to an old URL ( http://www.evefit.org/Pyfa ) where the correct URL is http://www.evefit.org/static/pyfa .

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. …"

Hello

1) Pyfa is awesome thank you for this amazing tool.

2) Is there a way I can load up ship changes into Pyfa before the next patch? Specifically I'm trying to start fitting the new rebalanced battlecruisers.

Thank you very much for your time.

If you're a programmer, it's not very hard to load up a new datadump and change around effects.
I'll be doing it this weekend for the sisi build in preparation of the patch, if you don't mind waiting a bit.

I'm not sure, whether this is the right place, but i'll give it a try.

I think I found a bug in pfya, the most important tool in the eve world for me. ;)
Create a new fitting, select a mackinaw and select "all 5" skills. Then fit an Ice Harvester. Take a look at the Attributes. It says, Mining amount: 1050 m3. I think this is wrong, as you gain always 1000 m3 and the ship bonus only affects the cycle time, when mining ice. Because of that, the calculated yield in the fitting window is incorrect.

Thanks so much for that tool!

Slightly OT maybe but http://o.smium.org/ seems to do a good job, not sure how active the project is, last commit appears to have been 3 months ago ...

I downloaded the newest pyfa, "installed" it, which was basically only unpackaging the .zip and followed the doc by the letter and it doesnt do **** for me.
I cant change any effects on any item.. getting really frustrated at this point.
not even pyfa\overrides\350mm Railgun II\attributes\speed.py with unmodifiedValue = 1.2 does ANYTHING on that item.
I also placed the same dir into \users\myuser\.pyfa and still doesnt work.
I'd really love to change my cyclones cpuOutput value aswell, but the http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/pyfa/wiki/Docs/ are no help at all.

Using Windows.

Would be grateful for some advice.

Thanks,
best regards

Hey there,

The documentation on the sourceforge site you just checked is for the extremely old and outdated version of pyfa. You should grab the one at: www.evefit.org, however, overrides aren't in this one, I'm afraid, I'll be working on a retri 1.1 version soon, though.

Hi just installed the latest version of your super tool, kudos to you guys for making it.

One small thing though I am on a linux box and when I tried to run it using the

$ ./pyfa.py command it said command not found,

so I had to use(command below) while in the pyfa directory

$ python pyfa.py

I believe you missed out declaring it as a python file and a linux box doesn't know what to do with it because of this.

Many thanks

Is there a new version coming out supporting retribution 1.1?
