CCP RubberBAND has a most excellent post acknowledging the most pressing issues and how they're going to address them. It's available here:

I hope it's turned into a Dev Blog.

Just make the new UI 100% identical in function to the old UI. Tabbed corp hangars, no trees, no ridiculously FAT UI borders wasting space, no confusion which window is which. None of this garbage.

100% identical with an option for the new junk.

Totally agree....this new inventory system is just frustrating and comfusing and takes much longer to mangae and open. I do alot of ore hauling in my corp an to open my cargohold + 10 secure cans and then sort the ore in to station containers is just about imposible now. To keep track of what goes where and so on...with the old system i could just dubble klick in the background and all cans opened in one stack and i could sort it in 30 secs. Now i dont know what is what and where, and sometimes if I hover over a station can to long the stationcan opends instead and i have to put the ore back and start over...

Have actually not heard one member that likes this new system...

PLEASE!!!!!!! go back to ther old system before I go insane

Well, he don't care or give a F___, to what the players writes on the forum......
So why should the players care about his point of view Attention

This UI is a real mess, it's was deployed at a stage where it did not even meet the grade of an "Apha version"...
Even with all the feedback given on numerous treads, there seems to be no end to this mess.
They are putting pach after pach, on a system that most of the players don't want , with no real effect on the usability of the UI, but with side effect on other part of the game.

Keep your head in the sand CCP.

I understand and appreciate that you have in house dealines, but you seem to not be understanding that your customers would prefer a fully functional system before you try to work on something new.

Unless i've misread most of the feedback given in all the major threadnaughts thus far.
This is not the reason. We honestly thought we were ready.

lol?

must say i loved his reply too. wonderful game designers i would call that even better quality assurance still.

I'm down from 9 accounts to 1. The way ccp is doing in the last 4 - 5 patches I wont be resubbing any. GTC with tech moon money it is.

Great Job CCP.... I hope dust will go the same way cause you don't deserve your customers.

Because. just because. maybe one day it will be good again.

I get the impression -- from the lack of any further progress -- that they think it's good again.

Could be. Or that they have prioritized their coder and designer resources on other ventures.

I still have several UI-related bugs open and unfiltered at this point in time -- this can't be a unique situation...

I remember Hilmar's humble communication from about 11 months ago where he announced a renewed focus on customers as he was laying off a couple hundred of his own people.

Once he got his books in order, it was back to the usual 'ignore our customers until something else blows up in our face' business methodology. So much potential with EVE and CCP. And they always blow it.

This iteration would do exactly that if you ask me, (in terms of the areas I use it for, not pos's and such?)
I am looking forward to adding shortcuts directly to the neocom, that will make me able to use the unifiec inventory as if it was just like the old one. (wont have to use the tree view at all)

From the sound of it, you'll have to add a shortcut for each division of the corp hanger in order to not use the tree...funny how he's not saying anything specific about that part...

Quoting for emphasis. Re-link posts, copy-n-paste post content, etc. Whatever you have to do to put player requirements back in front of the developers' eyes.

@ CCP: was it that hard to lock this thread and put a link to Arrow's new and hopefully constructive thread?

The unified inventory UI is literally worse than the previous UI in pretty much all ways. I don't understand why ccp persist in investing developer resources and cash into the ongoing serries of band aids to fix the unified UI when they could roll back to the old UI which was fine tbh.

The key pain points for me with the unified inventory UI are:

1 - it's counter intuitive. Even after months of using this new UI its always a task to remember to do what is needed to ensure the action I want to undertake.

2 - its clunky and poorly designed. There are just too many flaws especially when dealing with multiple large pools of inventory in a station. Activity such as putting drones into ships or ships into carriers are needlessly complex and tome consuming.

3 - Literally nobody I know likes or wants this ui in preference to the old one

Please chamge back.
