NOW, I see what you did, there.

It took me a few days to figure out why you made the new "tree" so that it's harder for players to move stuff around.
But, now I understand.

CCP is kist supporting small gang warfare.

THis makes it harder for heavy industry, and most other operations requiring us to re-learn how to move things from place to place. Thus, we are okay as long as we're not trying to refit any ship or structure that's very big. So, it's very efficient to fit out frigates for small gang PvP.

I'm reverting to my EvE infancy. Need to fly frigates, again.
Who needs caps, and who needs PvE, anyways?

ROLL BACK TO THE OLD SYSTEM THAT ACTUALLY WORKED.

This piece of garbage "unified" system is INHERENTLY a much bigger pain to try to work with for those that have to do any actual inventory MANAGEMENT.

This has been explained repeatedly as to WHY the whole CONCEPT is broken, and no "fiddling" or "fixing" is going to make this "unified" concept WORK.

That would be one hell of a twisted way to go about it. How about we just go with the simplest explanation? They messed up.

If I had pulled this big of an bonehead move with customers in my company and didn't immediately make it right I would be looking for employment where the toughest task would be to smile and ask "Would you like fry's with that?" So, how long HAS it been since you worked at McDonnalds?

So today I had a CHA tab full of random looted modules that I wanted to stack. 1187 stacks with a total of 209 different item types, to be precise.

I selected everything and hit Stack All... at 05:52 EVE.

It finally finished at 06:11 EVE. EVE was essentially not responsive during these 19 minutes.

That's not really acceptable performance for an inventory system, guys.

My finger hurts i had to click 24.000 TIMES to get my datacores today and yesterday... WHY ARE U HURNTING MY FINGER??? and my mouse...should i send my mouse by mail to you so get me a new one?

PLEAAAASE FOR THE LOVE OF EMPRESS JAMYL (yes you must be amarr to favor so much manual labor) put a dialogue box where i can type how many datacores i want . and then a accept box:P

PS: other FW stuff is great !
PPS: new inventory sistem sucks, a bit to hard to use fast

PPS : fix the whole buy mechanic in FW (yes that is the whole point of this pettiotion)

I still have this issue at stations with large amounts of inventory. The odd thing is when I merged my items into the station services window, it was there immediately.

I have 3 accounts which only expires the end of this month unfortunatly. I am unsubbing them due to the crap CCP is pushing down our throats. They have been inactive for about a week now because of this. Its a pitty I wasted allmost a year on this. Could have spend it on something else. Thank god for Diablo 3.

I have decided to set up a website on why NOT to join EVE. It should be live by the time my accounts expire. Good riddens to bad rubish.

Within a week CCP did some patches but situation with new UI is still terrible. I spend in four times more time to loot cans then earlier. And when i opens cargo at the POS it becomes one big dump of dozen unnecessary structures. Return back multi windoved system or allow us to choose between multi and single.
I have two accounts and one of them already deactivated. And second account soon will be expired by payment. I don't want to continue to play becase now EVE is unplayeble.

P.S. Sorry by my bad english but this posts CCP reads faster.

OK i don't feel like reading the whole thread to determine what was said and what not so here is my input. Sorry if it was posted by someone earlier. This is not extensive but it is a good start.

If I own something i want it displayed. If I don't, I don't need to have it in my inventory.

If i don't have the required permissions to access it, I don't want to see it in my inventory.

If I want to check my ship cargo-hold, I only want to see my cargo-hold. ( checking my ships ammo while in a POS )

Wrecks,cans, Towers, POS Guns, Assembly Arrays etc. should not display in my UI as I don't own it. I only own it once I placed it in my cargo-hold/hanger.

I liked the fact that my ship hanger was separate.

My opinion is that you guys took a wrong turn on this. The UI you guys gave us was suppose to be the new asset management system. Quite honestly..... you guys broke a perfect system. The sooner you realize it the better.

Hoping I can play EVE again soon,

The inventory is still crap. LOL

This is not separated and compact window. Nothing happened just CCP hide the treepanel, now that is the default setting when someone open a inventory window.


But, let's check out, what happening when a pilot click to overview icon (open cargo) to looting a wreck.


First, open ship cargo.This is opened our ship cargohold with closed treepanel. All right !!! First step is fine, maybe they fixed this thing, i'm said. Now we dont see treepanel,maybe we got separated active cargoholds, but let's check it out, what will happen when we click to overview icon ? Loot script starting to work, our ship moving to wreck and voilá we lost our opened active ship cargohold view, when the script starting to open a wreck window. LOL
This is a nightmare. CCP guys i still don't understand why not open the opened wreck in another separated inventory windows for easy loot ?
This should enable opportunity to the old and new inventory playstyle for players.

If someone want use the new inventory he not need to open his active ship's cargo hold,he just need to open the wrecks and he could be looting with drag&drop to treepanel.
But who want to use old method with separated windows, he need open his separated cargohold first and when a wreck open in a new windows he could be use as the old inventory worked earlier with drag&drop function to drop loots from one window to other window.


But, now we got a plus click, because we need to open the tree panel for drop there our loot (or we need to use the old drag&drop method those loots to cargohold icon on GUI) because wreck windows closed our opened calrgoholds and use the same window where was our cargobay earlier with closed treeview.
No separated windows here, no multiwindows for easy loot.

It's too hard for create a programcode which opening my cargo hold and wreck with two separated windows ?

WTF wrong with you CCP guys ?

Whats this, the third attempt at fixing a mistake, as ive said before this is fine for people with few items but not if yourt in a meduim /large corp/ POS or running multiple tasks.

So after fix number 3 i can click my ship . window opens and we have spinning discs for 6 seconds and when it finaly opens it takes up 20% of my screen.. Cry

i can create a new window for my corp sorry we have all left due this unplayable UI. Cry (own account suspended after many years of play)

we can now create a new window for my ship hanger, hmm was so easy with icons, unfortunatley the box is growing again so i can choose a ship i actualy want..

Lets go and rat ... kill rat and loot.......why has it created another window for my ship cargo.

Redock and wait for it....... another 6 seconds of spinning discs to open 2 seperate windows i created earlier Sad


Please revert this unusable UI back and give people the option, it is overly heavy on mouse work, PC processing, cache and belongs in the assets tree not normal gameplay.

Wow... CCP has achieved ludicrous fail. I mean - you have to deliberately be trying to lose all your customers. No one can fail this badly on accident.

So - first you broke the shift+click on member hangars. And now you've broken opening the current ship's bay ever harder, since shift+click on that KILLS THE ENTIRE INTERFACE. The window just vanishes. wtf

I still really can't see how this tree thing (which, btw is only intuitive to ppl born and raised with Windows 7 and who are all probably playing WOW or Star Wars if mommy and daddy let them game at all) is more compact than a succinct set of 7 tabs on the top of the window. They were simple, unobtrusive, and - oh yeah... they worked.

This is so far my favorite petition response re: broken Auto Pilot: "I am glad the issue is gone and again very sorry about the late reply due to the new releases."

Replace new with failand there's the root of your problem. I don't think you all get swamped like this when you don't break the game. But I love how you not only break it but keep insisting we should love it.

Please fix our game and stop going on about feasibility. If you can't make both work, than scrap the thing that is losing business. And think back real hard to how you found a way to give us back our ship spinning (plus the extra epicness of the counter =). I know it sucks when someone doesn't like the work you've done. I've been there. BUT - you have probably 30 raw pages of someones saying it's awful. Take A Hint. Listen to your customers.

So, the ship hangar and the items hangar stay open when redocking - that was not that hard, was it?

Now there is still work to do:
The current ships' cargo hold needs to become a single entity. It should not be used by the new ui but always stay open and on top while it is open. It should only change when another ship is made active. Then it should change to the cargo hold of the now active ship.

Make the new UI a button on the neo com bar with no window attached to it. When activated it should expand the tree view, probably next to the neo com bar and the full lenght of it. The width shoud be adjustable and stored in the memory so next time it is opened it will appear like the last time it was closed.
Once an item is clicked a new window should be opend. The behaviour of this new window should depend on the item that was clicked, be adjustable and also stored in the memory.

As for the new increased information in each window (price, amount of items, used/max volume bar, filters etc.) every single entry should be optional, to be displayed or hidden according to the users wishes. It must be possible to set this individually for every window and remembered for every window separately.

If a window is set to be opened into the same window then TINY "Back" and "Forward" symbols should be part of the window header/footer.

I did not check it, but when in space the cargo hold should still keep its special status and not be used by cans opened in space. They need to be opend in a seperate window. THAT window may OPTIONALLY be used for every wreck or can opend in space. Give it "Back" and "Forward" functions too.

If you can finally speed up the opening/display time of the windows you may even get some "awesome's" instead of "aweful's".


Two personal notes:
A point on my failure:
I saw the screenshots of the new UI, but failed to notice they ocupy the whole screen - making them look good while actually being entirely useless for most operations when docked and suicide in space. On the other hand I always considered the ship and item hangar as well as the cargohold special entities which I thought would not be touched by this. I was not paying attention and have to suffer the slow fixing process now. However, I will not suffer for ever.Attention


A point on your failure:
The captains quarters was not rejected due to ugly colors or limited station accessibility. It was rejected because it messed up the way we can access our stuff by making it dead slow and cumbersome. The new UI does exactly the same, so don't be surprised to find yourselves in a s**tstorm again. You made the same mistake twice, don't do it a third time.


...and an advice: Stop fixing things that aint broken. First fix things that people have been complaing about for ages before improving the game. Hint: invention / manufacturing need way to many clicks. POS accessrigths need simplifying and logic funtionability etc. Just ask us for work, do not seek it!


This should keep you busy until Tuesday. See you then...

Man, I train for certain goals and then the related skills / modules / ships get nerfed. I hate to be addicted to EVE.
