this still is a mess i hope ccp is really taking notes from people. we need a fix soon play is ruined for me now and my corp mates.

imagine if windows decided to make you use 1 window and only 1 window ( call it window 7) it would be the last time people would turn on there computer as it would be imposable to work with.

i know you don't want to fix this as your ideas are always better than the players, and the window is better as it has more function but we need multiple windows still even if you keep the exact setup you have for the ui but in several pinable windows. at least that would be a fast fix even if it doesn't solve the pos hanger and gun problem.. that though could be fixed with just a overview setting, as i don't need to have my guns on overview as they show up as i warp into the bubble but my hangers and labs are important for range in space. you should at least allow us to name corp hangers like we do labs so we can see them for what they are. as for mission wrecks and jet cans it would also help because we could always remove them from overview till we need to salvage and loot.

please do something soon i hate logging in just to see i can't play normal and log back off and open the forum to read others saying the same thing. i know this is here to stay but the fix is simple and you can do it with little change using multiple ui windows even if they all show the same lists and cause major lag on loading them. at least it would be a start plus who cares how many windows you open inside a station i don't use the character station walk around i use the old ship screen...... why don't you add everything into 1 big window like mail and market and contracts and assets and corp? OH that's right you do its called the game.

don't get me wrong i like this mmo more than any other and want to stay playing it (its the only one i still play for 8 years now)... you do have good ideas and i want you to keep trying to give us better game fun. THANKS for all your work so far. I just expect you to do something to fix problems you test on us even if it may take a week or 2 till you get a real working ui setup.

No, probably not. I will however go fairly far in implementing feedback that improves this piece of UI though. Feedback continues to be welcome.

What the hell CCP did with stealth boombers?!

Stealth bombers was so awesome, especially Nemesis was really good, and now after Inferno patch Nemesis looks like trash noobship. I really cannot make difference between noobships and new Nemesis, they looks same trash.

I learned on all my 15 accounts for all chars Nemesis because it was really most beautiful and simmetrical ship, and now it looks like wreck and metalscrabs of noobship.

Give to us back our Nemesis old ship and do not allow for idiots disigners to touch most beautiful ships!
Let them create some new trash, and not change old nice ships!

I will accept this new **** unified inventory, I will really wait 2 minutes after every dock-undock till this new inventory **** load all my items, but I will not accept this new Nemesis. In all other race it looks like a bit same (except amarr, cos purifier now awesome **** too) but in gallente new Nemesis absolutely doen't have anything same with old model.

I want old Nemesis model back !

I even will pay 10 plex if you tell me whom I need to kill, which game designer so others will give to us old Nemesis before I will pay new 10 plex for they's head to killer !

When it comes to Unified Inventory this is what needs to happen to convience us to try to make it work for our style of gameplay:


* Remove the cargohold window from Unified Inventory

* Add button or link to open up the Ship Fittings from Unified Inventory instead of listed in the tree menu

* Cause the corporation hanger, ship hanger, and items hanger to spawn a seperated window by default

* Put corporation hanger names on the tabs

* Compact the header and footer sections of the seperated windows as it takes up too much space for those who have normal sized monitors and laptops.

* Last but not least, add option to turn off Unified Inventory just like the option to toggle between captain's quarters and ship spinning was introduced.


This is the will of 99% of all eve players....if anyone disagrees with me please post your comments.

FW Targets cans till dock in enemy stations, so thats a fail.... 'poor coding?'

More importantly, New inventory is bad, Please give su the old way. Looting large wrecks can cause lag which will get you killed and also its a headache to loot wrecks.

New Killmails 'reports' are good, you guys didnt mess that up, SUPRISE

Fix the chat window bugs please.]

Did I mention that NEW INVETORY IS BAD and its ccp fixing something that wasnt broken at all and ionstead of this they should have fixed killmail/killreport denial via SELF DESTRUCTION

oh MY god the hanger system is so poor , spend far to much time flicking to see what i have in the hanger its much better to use the assets button - make its optional , like walking on stations - hell like anyone uses that new/old feature make its optional pls

A few "feedback" points:

I would prefer a separate session for inventory window when docked and undocked, in other words, I would like the game to remember if my window was opened/closed when redocking/reundocking.

I would prefer if the game remembered what sort of icons were displayed in various inventories (big icons in ship cargohold, details in station cargohold etc.).

I would prefer if my ships in the inventory tree had some sort of small icons attached to them or were at least listed in alphabetically by type, instead of name.

The new models are very nice, and the missiles rock! Very well done.

I do find the changes to the Merlin rather surprising. As Caldari are mainly missile orientated, it seems odd that a T1 combat frigate would not even support them.

My main issue is with the new inventory system. It seems much less convenient and rather more cumbersome than the previous implementation. The actual details have been spelled out in numerous posts before; in general they align with my observations. As I also saw mentioned before, it seems an excellent compromise would be to make the inventory style a matter of player choice. This would satisfy the many people that like the new style as well as those that prefer the previous.

yeah, work with it.... double-click current active ship, ahh, cargohold opens, shift-double-click a station container, good, it retains the positions, click the double-arrow to expand the index pain, &^*&^* damnit, why does it have to reset its size again, and why doesn't it stick to the pane width that i've chosen..... now, where was i, oh yeah, the pain, i mean the pane, (^%^*&^ now i have to scroll, have 120+ fitted ships in this station.... and yeah, not seeing my tengu in my hangar window almost caused me a stroke, active ships not in hangar window? wow, can't they just put a ribbon on its icon when its active and not delete it from the list, coz technically, an active ship when docked is in hangar, ain't it? - find the new inventory system pretty annoying - everything just got so much more complicated and so much more clicking is needed now
- wondering why the phantasm looks so horrably greenish now - was that intended?
- the client crashes every now and then since inferno even though my internet doesn't - hope that's solved with todays patch

edit:
- estimated value function for the inventory is cool - would be even more useful if you could choose to inlclude the ship's fittings as well and it could calculate the value of container content

Yes something changed, not I am unable to open "Read Details" on all at once even, if thats how you fix it... removing it then... I won't comment it as I will end with ban.


I don't totally get what you're talking about but if you would file a Bug Report it would help me very much! Best way to do so is through F12 and Bug Report button at the bottom of the window.

to whoever did the new inventory system. please pull your head out.
While in dock i can see the inventory as a useful tool out in space it is totally unusable when you have multiple pos modules to deal with or even a mining op.
What used to be 3 small little windows open on orca to quickly see what status of each hold was at is now a 1/4 of the screen 4 window mess. that in order to see different items when you dock requires moving the size around so you can view or having to scroll down.



You took a simple and elegant fast method of finding what i wanted into another time waster. just like adding multiple jumps to missions. Did the exact same thing.


CCP has said they was going to listen to players and fix what needed to be fixed. stop making eve (look pretty) pretty is fine. However your focus should still be on fixing what is broken. the Inventory worked perfectly adequate as it was.

Make the game manageable not a convoluted monstrosity.

New inventory is a monstrosity. Please revert back to old method while in space. or give us the option just like cq of turning the crap off.

First off, the missiles are great. FPS seems faster and the new Stealth Bombers are cool. That said, the chat is still broken, sound does not work correctly andit is very slow opening Inventory window,especially the corporation hanger. I do like the hangers in the Ocra now. To me seems much simpler when running multiple accts. "SHIFT" Click works for opening windows in station to transfer stuff from one to another. However, The text in the index could be brighter when the window is pinned. It is hard to read when in station mode which alot of people use because docking is much slower into CQ. (My machine is not slow either) I agree the chat needs help and could get you killed in certain places! I like to hear my lasers fire and ship explosions, but now all I hear are the LOUD modules and NPC weapons. I hope you can sort these thing out soon because I think the new inventory idea is good... just needs some tweaking. I do understand that you will not be able to make everyone happy because some fear change, but we should be able to choose how we view our stuff. Good Luck.

New inventory sux.. Its basicly allrigth and i know u can open them in different windows with shift or r-click. But biggest problem with it imho is that u need to reopen them every time u undock/redock. If u dock and redock 100 times in day thats around 300-400 window opening in day just for inventory. I want to have always 2 windows open in station items and ship bay and i dont want reopen them everytime. I also want to open my cargobay/dronebay by r-cliking ship and i mean just the cargo/dronebay.
I dont want to go trough invetory to open them because its silly and coplicated once u have to do it million times in day.

Anyone Else Notice. that you find yourself talking to people in corp chat. that aint there cause they logged off but still shows them as online? wtf thought that was suppose to be fixed.

Yes that too.. Theres some weird bug with chat.. Im not sure if its only corp chat tho as i was under influence that local does this too.. Corp mates have been seen in chat even they logged out like 12hrs ago...
