the unified inventory is annoying.. its sooooo annoying and its not even working properly.
Its annoying because of the tree view of hangars and because I cant easily access multiple at once without explicitely opening them in new window, and this is why its extremely annoying.

What did you try to fix with this new cr*ppy inventory system?
You dong simplify everything by putting the same amount of unrelated things all together in the mix and give it a pain to use interface!!

Even more annoying is cargo window popping all the time up everytime I jump through a gate but its a different issue!

The bright side of Inferno are missile and bomb animations, they are teh win!
Purifier model sucks, Manticore rulez, Nemesis and Hound are OK.

We reported the problems for CCP at leas 3 weeks earlier.Someone created a video with their failures

Perhaps what they meant to say was....

I can see the inventory having some merrits, but normally when you want to open something I would imagine that you'd prefer it in a new window by default. Some checkbox like "open containers in new window" in optons would be awesome.

more detailed grouping (POS stuff into category branches for example), even customizable, would be pretty neat too, esp. when you are doing stuff in POS environment. being able to name all types of POS structures (ship arrays, corp hangars and guns in particular) would be awesome.

So I have literally played with the new inventory system since inferno went live, and while it does have its advantages I have to say that for the purposes of salvaging missions the new inventory window makes this an unplayable aspect of the game.

Give us the option to use the new system or the old system

or

Fix the new system so that we can actually play the game that we are paying to play.

Please switch back the inventory system or have option to turn index on/off or just a "classic" view switch.
imo, worse change in the game I have ever experienced.

I can understand canges like these can take time to get used to but this one makes basic tasks a lot more work. It takes the game to a whole new level of frustration. It's perhaps fine for someone with a ship or two and few items in hanger but players w/ multiple cans, offices, etc are feeling a lot of angst.

everything else so far in the patch looks great.

thanks

That is indeed kinda ironic/poethic justice or somesuch.

CCP Soundwave tryin the cool response and now it blows up in his face.

Too bad. The system got POTENTIAL, but as it is, its a downgrade instead of upgrade. And a rather serious at that.

CCP dont unify things which DO NOT belong together!!
It sucks, its annoying and it makes all difficult.

My cargohold should be cargohold and it has nothing to do with the ship hangars or my station hangar where I store all my items. Those are separate things, even if they are able to hold same items, THEY ARENT THE SAME!

Un-UNIFY them please!

We need Poetic Pretzel to come around someday and make a good poem about the "WINDOW"

Needs to get removed or give us an option to use older system until this feature is completely polished and satisfying. (less tedious, unintuitive)

I have an idea CCP, make your crappy unified inventory optional. It is beyond horrid!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for making my corp hangers in that crappy interface, now I have to do more work to find items. Make this optional like you did with that crappy ass captains quarters like most of us aren't using. I would think you would of learned your lesson from that debacle. apparently not. Only positive thing I can say is I like the missilie effects. You guys need to pull your heads out of your collective you know what and start listening to your damn players. How many of them told you that inventory crap you slapped together sucks nuts???????? MOST OF THEM!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see after reading todays (22nd) patch notes CCP has reponded to the fact the majority of people want the old inventory system back with the fact they have basically just said F you and ignored all the comments while continuing to push ahead with it by fixing a few bugs.

How about an actual response from a Dev acknowledging the fact that its a crap system and telling us what they will do to sort it out instead of your usual head in the sand approach to customer service

Just the typical WE'LL FIX IT BRO, CALM DOWN BRO. They stopped answering a few hours ago, around the time of the first server patch that didn't fix the chat problems they said it'd fix.

First of all, I have to say I love EVE with all my 8 accounts. There is no other MMO like it and I am thankful for the work that goes into it.

I have been Playing for about 3 years now and it seems lately the changes CCP have been making are greifing me more than suicide gankers. Bugs that have made me grind my teeth for ages persist and things that work fine get 'fixed' all to often. I even have started to dread small patches, because 80% of the time, it means it's going to mess up some unrelated thing in the game and there will be patching for days to come.

Inferno.... Nice work making EVE look better CCP. I also like the new mods, even though most them seem to favor shield tanking ships. Finally fracking CPU rigs! How about some mining rigs now. I played around with the new Unified Inventory, I have to admitt it works, if you take into account the things that will be fixed, but overall it's not as efficient as the old system and it's not fair to push it on the 95% of players that don't want it. I have to agree with most players that have posted here, the Unified Inventory has to go or at least become an option only. I would also like to mention that I really feel bad for players into R&D, the Data Core changes are a bitter slap in the face. War Dec sys... From what I have seen it mostly serves as a greif tool. The new features in place will only serve to make life easier for Pirates to select targets. They can now easily find out what corps are an easy target and have paid for peace in the past. Why is it cheaper to War Dec smaller corps? Why not base the price on the size of the attacking corp?

Overall, speaking mainly as a miner, I am angry, we don't get squat. Some one that has been playing EVE longer than me please tell me the last time there has been something new for miners (not including more effective gear to gank us). I think it's time for t3 mining ships that we can customize to harvest Ore, Ice and Gas at mixed degrees of durability, speed and cargo cap. How about a smaller industrial command ship that focuses on boosting the fleet, has only a small cargo bay and 80km3 corp hanger that needs a seperate hauler to make it all work right. Why not mining lazers that sacrafice range for yeild? Mining crystals that work for multiple ore types at reduced efficiency. Hell, even a boost in PG/CPU be good. Beats a kick in the nutz with a frozen boot. Well I guess i strayed enough off topic lol.

They are some ajutement to make with the new inventory.

When you have some corporate hangar with a loot of container inside, it's really a **** to drop you item from your ship cargo to the good container. The list is too long and you can'T really roll the inventory to found the can.

PLS CCP try to use you new inventory with 60 ship in the station and about 30 container and one corp hangar etc. It's really impossible to use your inventory.

Also with laboratory (in pos): When you click on the laboratory the number of item and the quantity is 0 and when you go in the seperate hangar you found some stuff.

I was working on War Dec and Kill Reports this release - hope you like that stuff!

This was on the 1st page of this thread. Post number 10. This tells me that CCP knew we'd hate this new Inventory. There a is Dev going "Don't blame me. I was working on something else.!"

So after 23 pages, 90% of them saying this thing is "CRAP" or "junk" or "Stupid" or that is just "SUX" the question is simple. Why can't CCP learn from it's own mistakes? We've been here before......]

"Red flags raised by very smart people both at CCP and in the community went unheeded because of my stubborn refusal to allow adversity to gain purchase on our plans." -Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO

And so they repeated the same mistake. Making a change, testing it, getting feeback from players that said "THIS SUCKS" then ramming it down the player's collective throats anyway.

"The greatest lesson for me is the realization that EVE belongs to you, and we at CCP are just the hosts of your experience." -Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO

Well Sir, this was a lesson you didn't learn. You proved it today. The new inventory has made Looting from Wrecks, Player Owned Station operations, Jetcan Mining, Corporate Hanger Ops, and dealing with large amounts of items a tedious, time wasting, torture sessions. Your people were told time and again during Sisi testing that this change was not a good idea, but you did it anyway. Again....

I would humbly suggest that you either Rollback this change or make it optional as you did with the whole Captain's Quarters fiasco. Let us not take this latest lack of good judgement and turn it into International news.
Prove to us you can learn from your mistakes. And stop repeating them.

Hey, CCP. Good work with this Unified Inventory, I actually like it. But here's where you've got it wrong:

The navigation tree should be decoupled from inventory window. Simple as that.

- make it config option whether single or double click opens the inventory window.

- make it config option whether inventory opens in a new or in existing window.

-- best would be if this option was per 'container', at least for 'permanent' ones plus for 'default' (however you define those terms).

Also, whatver you're doing while moving stuf from one inventory to another, stop doing that. I can check prices later but I want to have stuff moved NOW. Besides, since those prices tend to be sooo way off, please make it an option to have them at all.

HTH.
