wow a more reasonable response then the others.

anyways, the benefit of this, is 1st, to increase the awareness, and participants in pvp 1v1 testing, currently sisi never gets more then 1% of the total eve population, furthermore, the risks associated with actual 1v1 duels, limits the availability, and the viability of player ran pvp tournaments in eve, no player is willing to risk a officer fit unique ship, furthermore, it puts all players, from the 5 day old newb, to the guy who was born back in '03, on a equal footing, skill wise, and even ship wise.

1v1 competitions are already popular, having been ran by numorous player corps all over eve, however, such competitions have heavy restrictions, overly expensive ships are never used, their may even be restrictions on the meta quality of equipped items, all in a attempt to create a relative balance between participents, my idea creates and enforce the balance, while encouraging more participents, and more variation in ships.

Now explain what part any of that has in EVE, a game of risks and of consequences.

oh yes, sisi is chalk full of risk and consequences isn't it?

the only reason this is receiving flak is because the majority of players don't like change, hell, just look at every single thread in the suggestion forums, a idea gets suggested, and instantly, you asinine ingrained pathetic wee boos come running and jumping at it, saying nothing beneficial to teh idea, and merely saying it's stupid, so **** it, why should anyone bother trying to improve the game , with you jackasses here.

That is because most ideas brought up here are truly terrible and/or never will happen because it goes against the eve philosophy or would be difficult/waste of resources. Yours is a waste of resources btw. Every now and then you will find an idea that isn't ridiculed excluding random trolls ofc.

This. And then the good ideas get bumped off the page quickly due to lack of anything to argue about.

you can't say a single true negative point to my idea.

1- It will have a chilling effect on PVP
2- If it drops PVP, consumption of industrial goods will drop
3- Prices of minerals will drop
4- Miners will starve to death

5- it flies in the face of Eve's "everything is a risk" mentality
6- It will reinforce BAD PVP practices because people won't be as careful
7- Singularity. Use it.
8- A virtual arena is removing gameplay from the sandbox.

i numbered for responses.

1. how will it have a chilling effect on pvp, according to you guys, this already exists with sisi, and if it already exist how would it have a chilling effect?
2. again, same as above, you guys are all argueing that my "idea" already exists with sisi, i don't see the price of goods dropping because of sisi do you?
3. derpa, same as above.
4. you just said the same thing twice...
5. but again, yo guys argue that this already exists with sisi, and sisi has very strict rules regarding pvp,
6. durp, sisi ships and items cost a whoping 100 isk, would not the affect of a virtual arena be exactly the same as sisi does, do you argue that sisi reinforces bad pvp? i think not, again you all say my idea is basically sis, and if it basically sisi, which we already have, why are none of your guys negative true for it as well?
7.derp
8. again, how is adding something removing something from teh sandbox, 1+1=2, always, it never is 1+1=0.8, when you add something, it's a straight mathmatical fact, that nothing is taken away, nor ami asking for something to be taken away.

1, 5-7. SiSi doesn't have a chilling effect on PVP because it requires :effort: to install. If you
2-4. I find your lack of humor disturbing.

8. Adding a "virtual environment" inside our virtual sandbox creates a mode of play where you have a walled-off sandbox-in-a-sandbox where THERE ARE NO CONSEQUENCES. You are removing play from the larger sandbox. Saying "oh well this console is inside the sandbox" is intellectually dishonest. It's a virtual machine where everything that happens inside disappears when it's turned off. That's NOT sandbox play.
