To go back to the inner city reference i made before, in tough neighborhoods everyone just keeps their head down and doesn't get involved when bullets start flying. I now see that's the problem with getting hisec to 'fight back'.

The game openly encourages and celebrates the worst behavior in people, so we now have a game full of the worst kinds of people. Those who live in hisec are the most abused and griefed people in the entire game, so you can't scare them, because they met people like you their first hour in the game. They have no interest in protecting hisec or fighting back, just staying alive, and protecting their own interests.

So what you are saying is that instead of doing the figurative drivebys in highsec, instead we should be figuratively dropping nukes on the cities? Would that get highsec to come get us?

Maybe across all the OTEC moons, but a fair number of those aren't owned by the CFC. Remember, not everyone involved with OTEC is friendly with each other.

It doesn't make me happy. I'd really like to see a unified high-sec force try and take us on. I think it would be really awesome, and generate TONS of good press for the game.

Then people would just quit playing.

Serious point

The EVE is harsh, the game takes years to skill up line that gets told to everyone makes that near on impossible.

The SA/Reddit communities you recruit from are good in that way as you bring new players in and get them into the cut and thrust of the game from day one, the rest of the people playing get bombarded with what's not possible and how high to set their sights from day 1 of playing.

I almost wish they would start us out in null so the first things we hear upon starting aren't "Mine and mission for $$, and don't go out into null or lowsec until you have x amount of skills or x amount of cash"

Incredibly common advice.

Along with a bunch of other stupid, stupid ****.

The CFC doesn't feel threatened by anyone.

The real question you should be asking is "Who could threaten the CFC?"

I've been thinking about it for the last year, at least.

Can't come up with a single group capable.

Only thing that might work is a huge coalition... :psyduck: because we know how well coalitions work...Roll

Maybe across all the OTEC moons, but a fair number of those aren't owned by the CFC. Remember, not everyone involved with OTEC is friendly with each other.

I can't. The last audit was (i think) well before the big tech moon acquisitions and the OTEC. Until the auditbee has done his rounds it won't be easy to guess.

I daresay any attempt from highsec would also have a "core" or whatever you want to call it of nullsec powers like Raiden. (if they're still around ^__^) NC. and maybe some others which would provide them with (super)capital support or at least deterrence. Similarly with tackling CFC supercaps if it came down to it.

Would you be able to afford to hire PL? I don't know - I'm told they are paid in tech, so if comes between (1) convincing them you can get tech for them (2) getting your nullsec allies to pay them and (3) being about to outbid the CFC if it actually came down to it.

There are of course tech treaties, so you might have to shoot tech POSes with whatever lowsec dreadnaughts you can get together. But you could have the titans sitting around since they can shoot anything BUT the tech POS.

And this why the sociopaths attack high sec: they are bored because no one can or will fight them.
Some of my friends in null (wow, yeah, some null sec people are not asshats) tell me that Test and goons are playfighting with each other because they have nothing else to do in null.

But there is an unlimited amount of pain they can cause in high sec.
For those that don't keep up on current events, we have the sociopaths doing these things:

1. Funding Hulkageddon.
2. Initiating death squads to seek out and suicide people who slammed the failed lawyer when he was banned.
3. The failed lawyer describes in his latest Ten Ton interview how the sociopaths plan to further screw the high sec player base: http://www.tentonhammer.com/eve/spymaster/78

Hell you highsec bears think you got it bad, im a lowsec pirate ccp fing hate me Sad

they spent so much time making 0.0 'desirable' they forgot its a sandbox and there is no endgame every part of eve can be an endgame. Instead they introduced sanctums, completely wrecked the economy and are now gonna try nerfing everything into the ground eve wide so the only way you could make any iskies in the game is to go to 0.0 Ugh

if ccp want to make lowsec desirable perhaps they should consider increasing the lp payout over highsec for lvl 4's so there is some point going there and maybe introduce new lvl 5 missions that are not actually pre-broken and are uncompleteable like prison break?

naw thought not carry on

Lowsec really should get something. I think the perception is that the isk:risk ratio isn't as good as in highsec, and then it's some weird no-mans-land where supercapitals gank people and there's hardly much happening. Without bubbles though (unlike NPC null).
