It's funny how that works, isn't it?

Edit: BTW, welcome to the wonderful world of being a Goon alt.

Ah nobody would believe that, even goonsworm has standards

Haha, no we don't.

The "day old newbee" standard :shobon:

They accepted me, and I'm a terrible player. I even try to talk the high-sec community into taking us down.

No, that's good. Unlike BoB that used to pretend they liked fights, we actually need someone shooting at us.

Otherwise we start shooting ourselves :ohdear:

This feels very circular but I'm pretty sure you'll have to shoot at yourselves for a fairly long time to come. Cry

So who does CCP call when an entire alliance threatens to shoot themselves?

God, the number of these. Stop nerfing high sec threads. Okay. I am a high sec resident. I have played eve since 2005. I have been to nul sec and low sec and seen the fall of major alliances, but shockingly I have spent most of my time in high sec. I really don't get the whole noooo stop nerfing high sec arguments. I really don't see the need to threaten to cancel my accounts every flipping expansion because something got nerfed.

Game is fine the way they are developing it.

I wouldn't worry about this thread, it's well and truely derailed by now.

Yeah, that is what the null sec zealot propaganda machine does.
Derails a thread when it might have some value.

Screw that, I'm not going to Iceland for a BBQ.

No worries, I probably wouldn't have left my basement for it anyway.

I think the main problem is that the majority of wealth is made out of low/null sec where you are supposed to have the highest risk of getting popped. The truth of the matter is that most areas in low/null sec are safer than those in high if you are in the controlling coalition or alliance.
For example a miner in high sec runs a higher risk of getting popped than that of a miner in null sec that is in the controlling system alliance. Why should the miner in null have access to all the rare ores, and their isk/hr be higher than someone in high if they are running a lower risk of being popped? That goes for almost all PVE that is done in the game.

That being said I have no problem with things being geared more towards low/null. I honestly think everyone should, at some point in their Eve playing, live in null. My problem comes when the CSM pushes their agenda which a large majority of the Eve population will never even encounter.

The low risk in null/low sec mining isn't a problem with the mechanics of the game. It is a problem with the motivation of the players that don't do anything about it. I mean, if it is so profitable, and other people want to do that as well, why don't they form an alliance and throw the current null/low sec alliance out. This creates risk for the alliance that controls that resource. The problem is carebears don't want to put in the effort to organize like that. If players in highsec were more ambitious, null/low sec mining would be more risky. Risk aversion is hurting these carebear players.

At least those are my observations and understandings, correct me if I am wrong.

James315 for CSM 8!
