After somehow still enjoying flying a Sac, I decided I'd fallen in love with an Armor tanked battleship using missiles. To my dismay, the closest I could find is a typhoon and that's it really. CCP, is this due to a balance perspective or simply flavor?

As an Idea, why are there not more Khanid esk ships other then the Veng, Sac, Curse(to a degree)? Surely they would modify say, their Geddons or Aba's. Is it too game breaking to mount a 3 slot tank with 2 BCU's for low slots as a pvp option?

Sacrilege, one of the two Amarrian Heavy Assault Ships available to pod pilots. Favors Heavy Assault Missiles and armor-tanking. A rather nasty close-quarters face-raper.

and yes, there should be a battleship version available, or make a new set of commandships that feature 'alternate dps'

Sacrilege, sorry I can usually never spell the damn word. Amarr Heavy Assault Cruiser. I enjoy it's style of a brick spitting missiles and found it odd that the next biggest ship was either the Typhoon or Minmatar Dreadnought(do not ask me to spell that)

More onto the point, I guess is it game breaking to have the following set up:

8 High slots
3 mid slots
7 Low slots

Allows for a pve dual rep/hardener set up. Allows for pvp passive tanked with 2 EANMS, BCU's and plates with a reduction in mid slots to allow for competition of the standard web/point/prop mod against SEBO/Cap Boosters etc etc. Obviously as most missile ships do it'd only have a single flight of light drones.

Bonus wise I'm sure it would just have an updated version of the sac and veng's 5% resist per level and maybe Large missile damage bonus I'm sure it wouldn't really need a cap bonus like most Amarr ships. Or is this too overpowered?

Ooh Khanid torp abbadon would be pure sex. (As long as they don't ruin the current khanid color scheme like they did on the sacrilege.)

Doesn't one of the Amarr CS use missiles?

Because there is no BS big brother to the Assault Ships. Though a T2 Khanid torp slinging Abbadon would be sweet!!

Currently the only ships that use missiles are the vengeance, purifier and sacrilege. The curse/pilgrim can fit them, they are unbonused and usually the slots are used for neuts/vamps/probe launchers. I believe off of the top of my head that the Apoc has 1 or 2 missile slots, but again, unbonused. The Sac I was referencing is a HAC, which I know has no T2 version in the BS class as Marauders can hardly be considered an upscale and Black Ops are the big brother to Recons.

With the dissolution of the the tier system, it does pave the way for new ships that do not have to be mirrored with other races. And as above, a torp slinging Abbadon variant as a faction ship would make an enjoyable time against say Angels and other close in foes.

He was referring to the damnation. While its not a BS and its not really a brawler, it is a missile spewing ship.

I do agree that there needs to be a Khanid BS.

Those who agree, what ships do you think should be added to the other three races to balance this new battleship?

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

It depends on representation I guess. With the tier system abolished, they do not necessarily need to "balance" it. Idea wise, in the Gallente division, Roden Shipyards are not well represented law wise, with poor electronics, preference for missiles but sturdy armour that I can think of off of the top of my head though that equals the Amarr idea, perhaps a MWD. Within the Minmatar I know next to none as design philosophies tend to be almost unified. I would put into play a Caldari Drone boat with shield ank, but we have the rattlesnake already. Perhaps something fast with drones as the main firepower that relies on a shield buffer, relying on rails to kite as support?

Moving along this whole line of discussion i've always found it odd that the amarr and minmatar have what is considered the primary weapon of the caldari as secondary weapon ships. Hell theres a few gallente ships with launcher slots, but the minmatar and amarran ships have bonuses to them (as well as the gallente lachesis). Why do we not find some laser/projectile ships in the other respective races ranks, or hybrids under the amarr and minmatar banners for that matter?
