When C.C.P. brought up the idea of an eve launcher, I was rather excited. Finally, there would be one program to mange everything eve related and developed by C.C.P. But, it turns out I was wrong

What the Eve Launcher has that is a plus:

• The Latest News- I rather like having the eve launcher find the dev blogs for me. For a long while, C.C.P. would make a dev post and maybe post it in the E.I.P. section. I'd roughly say it was 80/20 in favor of the E.I.P. That's good of course. But then they moved it again and added the Community page with a dev blog sub topic. So, you kinda had to go digging around for it again. But, no more with the Eve Launcher! It's all right there waiting for you to clicky its face.


• Quick links to the buddy program - Don't have to sign in 50,000 times to get to the right page anymore.


• Drop down to all Eve Websites- Don't have to remember one of the websites, go to it, the click the right website. For example, if I wanted to access the forums, I'd go to gate.eveonline.com and then click the forums page and then the area I wanted to post in. Not anymore. Thank you C.C.P. for that tid bit of the launcher.


• Fast access to F.T.YT.G+.- Good work with this. I like just fast access to your media outlets. It's quick and easy good work!

What the Eve Launcher desperately needed.

• SiSi isn't linked- I hate how there is still no link to SiSi. I really wanted the Eve launcher to maintain Tranquility, SiSi, an Duality for me. I wanted to click where Tranquility is and select to play on SiSi rather than TQ. I wanted you to even update SiSi in the background while I pew pew on TQ, or vice versa. I'm tired of having 2 launchers. If C.C.P. ever decides to make this happen, I'd like them to uninstall my SiSi launcher and then connect the launcher to my SiSi client. I don't want to launch the laucher, select SiSi and then have it launch the SiSi launcher!


• The non-English launchers aren't standardized- If I were native to the other languages and wanted to buy PLEX or access the buddy program info page, I don't want to remember that it's on the English launch page but not the Russian, Japanese, or the German page. Please fix this.


• The Eve Launcher doesn't close when I launch the game- Okay I understand there is probably some kind of multiple client kind of issue here. But, I really think the launcher should close when I launch eve. Meaning I think it should close but when I open it, the launcher is still active until I close out the client as well. Or, until I log out of the launcher using say, File -> Log out. But, that shouldn't log me out of game. It should just allow me to access a new account.

Edit: As it stands, I launch the game and then close out of it manually.


• I can't link multiple accounts to one launcher- This kind of revolves around the log in issues of the launcher. I want to link account x, y, and z to one log in. I want to be able to pick what character from what account I want to log into from the launcher and only have to log in once.

And that's everything about the launcher I feel is relevant. There's probably more and I'll add to the rant later, but for now it's 0330 and I want to go to bed.

Agree with all. BUT......FYI there is an option to close Launcher after starting the Game in the tiny settings/tools button at the top of the Launcher Window.

I'd like to add on that when you hit play, the crucible ox appears and you can't have a layer of a window overlay it. Before, I'd click the start up shortcut to run eve and then open a web browser while it fires up. Not, I'm forced to stare at this huge box that I can't ignore.
