Please add a feature to alert me when market orders are complete

I recently resubbed, and rediscovered why I gave up on this game.

I'm a trader who manages 300+ orders across three characters. It is extremely impractical to find out what orders have been completed since there is no alert or feature telling me so.

I am now ready to give up after three days. I hope my future self remembers to read this thread. Even though EVE likes to champion itself as a "free market sandbox", it's business-management UI is totally and utterly dreadful.

This is a simple feature. Please please please work on it because bleeding your eyes over a monotone list of orders is not fun.

+1, useful trading notifications for buy/sell order completion. Could even include an option in setup wether you want to receive them.

And it must be apparent as EvEMon actually informs you of completed market orders.

Yeah, a simple notification to say what order was complete, with details and all would be nice +1

Cool, but I don't know how to use this? Am I supposed to make my own program?

Yes, you can either make your own program or find one that someone else has made (try checking out the Technology forum).

It's a fairly simple matter to make a script that pulls down your chars market orders every so often, checks them against the previous list of orders, and prints out the market orders that are no longer on the new list. Yes, it is a bit of work, but it's better for players to do the simple little things like this that they can, rather than pulling dev time away from more important matters that players can't fix. If I had some free time, I would toss together a quick script for you, but I'm busy with my own stuff right now (maybe if you still haven't found anything and I get a break in my work, school, and personal projects, I'll try and tossing together).

You could also try using EVEMon's Market section. It's not horribly advanced, but it does show you what market orders are outstanding and I believe it notifies you when orders complete (though I'm less sure about that, since I haven't made many market orders lately).

A good idea. But frankly the market interface in general could be better in a thousand different ways. Just redesign the whole UI!

When viewing the "Market Details" (listing all the buy/sell orders) - any orders that I have placed, highlight in a different color, and then let me modify order prices by right clicking on my order on the market details screen.

Good idea ... the whole market interface needs work IMO

I wouldn't mind a more intuitive, holographic map as seen in some of the older trailers (Scope broadcasts ftw). Not part of the discussion though; just an idle musing.

I, however, use Aura (mobile app) and it gives me a lot of notifications; right down to notifying me when my skill training queue is beneath 24 hours. Handy little devil.

Yeh evemon notifies you when market orders are complete. Only thing is it doesnt track corporation orders you make (unless i havent figured out how to do that).
