EVE Online: Crucible 1.5 Issues

5. Running the repair tool as administrator from the Eve client folder ended with the message "Completed successfully. The Eve Online client was successfully repaired". This was repeated as advised, including several reboots.

6. Directly starting eve using the eve.exe application resulted in steps 2 to 3 repeating.

7. Did a complete new install today (ver 349998), but the above problems persist.

My Eve folder resides on a different drive than my windows 7 drive. Not sure if its relevant, just saying.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!


I've downloaded patch from http://content.eveonline.com/350962/evepremiumpatch349998-350962_m.exe and launched it after applying patch make repair and it helped for me.
I lanched game direct C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile

When i exit out of the game my screen turns pink and i can barely make out any icons etc on my desktop.

Ive a laptop, Acer Aspire 5750
Intel core i5-2430M 2.4ghz
Intel HD graphics card 3000, 1760mb of DVM
6GB of ram

So, is right clicking on the destination in the mission window not giving the option to warp to location in the same system (can right click on the space map so it is workable) working as intended?
Admittedly may have missed that if it was in the patch notes.

i am not experiencing any problems except that when ratting i have my log open
the messages damage inflicted and damage received messages are all displayed erratically, as in not in the correct order
usually i would have my guns hit for xxx then 5 lines of my drones hit for xxx then in between many lines of rats hitting me
but now i am getting 6 lines of gun hits at once,
no matter how i sort it it is not fixin it

TA on wis: "when we have a feature that is its own functional ecosystem of gameplay then hooks into the greater ecosystem of EVE as a whole, and it provides good replayability."

Not true, I have Win 7 Home Premium 64bit, and I've had no patching problems.

so to most of you, a small solution for today, reinstall the whole game manually and you can start it again out of the bin-file as it works yesterday, launcher still does not work, this will last until the next update,either the launcher is fixed then or you have to reinstall.

not perfect but it works for today

Sorry you had to go through a full install. Do you recall the error you were having?

i stuck in the update in (1/3) creating eve online 349998-350962 patch

it go to 25% all good and then it restart it self back to 0% all the time i try to reboot few times even tshut off my anti virus even to use error nuker and the eve repair tool nothing work anything else i can try to do ??

Heh, what is going on!!!

After many attempts, still cannot install and play it!

All recommendations from EVE doesn't WORK!!!

Due to this mess, does EVE give any refund or discount?

Even the manual installation with an .exe file, 2 payload file still doesn't WORK!!! Crap!!!

Can you upload your EVE/launcher/cache/launcher.log to me via Pastebin or something similar?

the update got stuck by the install of the launcher, got the same messages as a lot of the people already have postet in the forum. the repair got stuck with an error message
system is windows 64

Same. I'm running Win7 Ultimate x64, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.6GHz, 6GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 w/ 1GB dedicted VRAM, and the only problem I've started having with the new patch is severe lag/performance spikes, usually associated with entering/exiting warp.
I also had one (seemingly isolated) issue, with undocking, and the UI loaded...but nothing else did. Overview was blank, nothing visible in space, no ship stats (shield, armor, modules, velocity, etc) loaded, nothing. Finally closed the client, and restarted, only to log in and find my ship nearly 100km out, drifting away from the station.
But again, the only consistent problem I'm having, is just the performance issue (which can still be very aggrevating, when you are a PvP pilot, and the severe spikes to performance can mean all the difference between your target getting away, or your own ship getting blown up).

why is this issue only at my winXP PC ? On my win7 64 bit it works fine...

Hi, can you try installing a full copy of the Launcher into your EVE client directory via the following: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/350962/EVEOnlineLauncherInstaller.exe and running eve.exe afterwards?

So why do I suddenly have to launch a launcher that adds zero features or functionality to my previous Eve experience, but goes a step further from being absolutely useless and actually becomes an annoyance because now I have to click extra buttons arbitrarily and the launcher doesn't close itself when I click Play, so yet another arbitrary click has to be made.

What was the point of this launcher?

OK my 2 cent's for what it's worth anyway. CCP you fail HARD and I mean HARD... FFS if your going to release something make sure it works before you do!

Running Windows 7 X64 Ultimate: This application is not 64 bit compatible... Really?!? In this day and age of computing surely a company like yours has the brain cells to make a 64-bit & 32-bit version of the same app?

I used the work around that was issued yesterday (13/03/12) which no longer works due to today's (yet again FAIL) patch of yesterday's disastrous patching process... Now being an EVE player since 2004 I am used to ERRORS like this coming from you (boot.ini being the main one in living memory)

BUT SURELY YOU MUST LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES AND NOT KEEP MAKING THEM!!!

I no longer have a working EVE client as do many of your subscribers... If I were in your management I would have head's on spit's and use them for target practise!!! I say you give everyone a "We are sorry" present for you incompetence and lack of management.

This is almost certainly due to the Launcher update corrupting the Launcher itself, which is symptomatic of the data corruption you're seeing. This, along with the permission issues that people have been having, is at the top of our list to fix ASAP.


So I just have to sit here and play other games while you sort out your error... Wait a minute... I paid for this game... I want compensation.... After all your server logs show an error on your side not mine... Waiting to be compensated now

Please check the Settings menu for an option to hide the Launcher if there is no update available.
