I come home to do the same lame lolupdate thinking well its not the worst that could happen just another thing in life that was good and now made bad but still tolerable. But alas i found that my desktop would not be so lucky...

Downloaded launcher patch, worked fine.. launcher launched and started DL its big patch. then i got the exception error same as the others and no more install for me.. decided to uninstall and start fresh, DL the installer and NOPE corrupt installer.... Clicked the download manually link.. WTF is this have to DL 3 separate files and run from there? still working on this....

I work with software development and testing and just have to wonder if you even tested this on any kind of various platforms or just on whoever happened to have a computer there that day. so yea.. hate the launcher, was not needed at all, other system was working fine and i didnt need all this buddy program promotes and BUY PLEX NOW stuff. i know its there i knew its there and its not like its something you need reminded of -.-

Also why the new names for things? what was it doing before that caused a undesirable effect?

Why is my overview no longer working properly and sticking?

Why when i alt tab from one client to the next the next things i click on are looked at until i press tab again?

NOW FOR THE THINGS THAT WENT OK

the launcher can be avoided if there are no patches (once i can get it to run.)
Noob ships look cool (why wasent this time spent on my overview?)


Overall conclusions? I Am Dissapoint ;(

Huge issue, overview is broken. You still havent reversed your decision to have mouse over lock the overview rather than using ctrl.

After the patch, bookmarks in sub folders are in a random order, not listed alphabetically as before.

Removing and re-inserting the bookmark just seems to put it at a randon point in the list. I have cleared the cache, no difference.

THIS UPDATE AND PATCH IS RIDICULOUS AND DOES NOT WORK

I WANT COMPENSATION FOR THIS ABUSE OF MY TIME AND MY PAID SUBSCRIPTION

I have 3 days ago spent HOURS ( due to the ridiculous low upload speed of CCP Installer )

to install the CCP CLIENT on a TOTALLY CLEAN PC .

After spending hours waiting for the download to finsish everything worked incredibly FINE

NOW .. after downloading the Upgrade as directed NOTHING worked

THEN .. after using the REPAIR TOOL ... NOTHING WORKED

I then tried to RE-INSTALL the whole CCP CLIENT

It did NOT WORK

I then REMOVED everything i could find related to EVE on my Computer

again the normal DOWNLOAD of the CCP Client ( which I had used perfectly well 3 days ago on the same computer )

did NOT WORK !

I was referred to MANUAL DOWNLOAD .. downloading 3 files ... put them in the same directory

and then TRY to recieve the EVE CLIENT .

I do not know if it will work ... somehow i doubt it .. but lets see .

Whatever .. this is TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!!

When i eventually get the EVE CLIENT I want FULL COMPENSATION for all the TIME spent on just trying to get In -game

for which I have paid approx 1 year in ADVANCE .

This is highly DISSATISFACTORY ... and resembles earlier ( UNPROFESSIONal ) times in my aquaintance with EVE !

if the one pc that is patching the game works properly can i simply copy the folder on to the other 4 pcs i have?

Everytime you buy something that says "made in china" you are helping the rising unemployment in your own country unless you are from china, Buy locally produced goods and help create more jobs.

OK having major issues here like everyone else, EVE simply will not start for me now. Oops

In my 4 or 5 years of playing this is the first time I've had to post on the forums! Shocked

After EvE downloaded and installed the client update (the launcher I believe).

Step one

When I run EvE I get a "Verification Failure" window that mentions that "_PyFreeType.dll" is missing and that I should run repair.exe.

Step Two

I run repair.exe (latest version) and get an error but the log location is empty!?! Shocked

Step Three

When I try running launcher.exe I get this error;

(Oh apparently I can't put "HTML" in a forum post)Evil

Step Four

I run evepremiumpatch349998.exe which a Dev kindly provided and get the following error;

(Oh look, it thinks that is "HTML" too!)Evil

Any help getting the game that I pay for to actually work like it should would be great CCP thanks. Twisted

P.S. I don't mean to sound like a whiny so-and-so but come on...

FPS in station took a dive (at least dual accounting) getting 60FPS in space with two account, 5 in station (used to be 60 AFAIK). Unusable to the point I had to uncheck "Load station environment".

MAC user, read forums and am having same problem. My system isn't any different then the ones reporting the same problem.

A launcher that fails to launch.

Downloads and when it begins to run the patch updater it locks up and then makes the game client unplayable. I have tried this several times with a re downloaded copy and duplicate of the client only to have it repeat the process. I'll assume this wasn't intended and is getting looked after. Promptly I hope.

Yes.

EVE has always been pretty light on worming itself into the system. No heavy registry tweaks during the install, it's all contained there in the EVE program folder.

I am also Win7 x64 user and also still waiting on a working patch (after failed attempts to patch manually or through the launcher, with Run as Administrator option off and on) . The link you provided for the fixed 1.06 launcher ( http://cdn1.eveonline.com/349998/evepremiumpatch349998.exe) does not seem to be working either, or is currently overflowed.
I understand it takes some time for you guys to fix the issues for the win7 x64 users, but i also hope you can make it up to us for our lost game time.

Alternatively, have a gander at the Import/Export Patch functionality in the "Patches" tab of the Settings menu Smile.

This is already mentioned by some one, but I can't find the post. I want to confirm it.

I am doing a mission now and all the sound of the npc ships that are 100km away sound like they are close. I can hear the shield rechargers and also when I destroy a ship I can hear the "skwish" sound like I shot it from closeby.

Or, you know, work on it BEFORE you release this sort of stuff. As has been said before, all of this was posted on the SISI forum for you to work on ahead of time yet you still didn't fix it. When you got it working fine on SISI is the only time you should have been given the green light to roll this out on TQ. But I guess that may have taken time away from doing the rookie ships, those ever important things that once you get out of you never want to go back in unless it's for a comedy fight vs some one else's rookie ship.

Repair never worked so I've given up and now downloading the 4.5Gb for a clean install because the hours doing that will be faster than being give the option to download and manually import 140 odd Mb .patch file that for some reason someone thought would be a really bad idea to allow people to use.

What did you do to my 0.0 spawns/sanctums? I looked everywhere in the patch notes, you guys nerfed it without a explanation anywhere!?

Roll it back, I don't want this patch non-sense if it makes the game worse :|

This is starting to become crap... 6 hrs later and multiple multiple multiple downloading, trolling the forums, tries and retries, running as administrator, running as me, trying suggestions from others, start from this folder, start from that file… nothing is working.... seems it is not only me having this problem.

Starting to get frustrated and disillusioned, I don’t want to walk but if this keeps up then it’ll be my only choice left.

frustratingly not enough information from CCP Devs.

Sound in general is broken after 1.5 Sad


I have troubles to hear salvager sound, sensor module booster sound - when all of them are activated at once. Also I think I'm not hearing my Noctis engines Sad


And NPC ship exploding is somewhat weird too I guess, it sounds like making a container instead 'xplosion.

Please have a look and fix the arrangement of the bookmarks, after patch they have been completely screwed up.

It shows correct order, in people and places, but when in space its entirely different.

painful as i just spend last 2 days making corp bookmarks, i listed them for everyone to see, and now its a complete mess.

Please try clearing your cache to see if that resolves the problem. You can do this by going to Settings (ESC), select Reset Settings tab and from there you can select to "Clear all cache files". After doing this please restart the client and, if the problem persists, try "Clear all settings" as well. For further instructions please see the following EVElopedia page.
