* A: Yes, you will have to use it. The previous patching mechanic is going away, and this will be the only supported way of updating your client in the future.

* Q: What about Manual patches?
* A: Manual patches will also go away, but for those of you who have multiple computers and only wish to download the data once from the internet, there is an option to Import/Export the downloaded data from machine to another.

What was wrong with the patches as they were...? At least give ppl a choice.

Well, that's it then - I think I will prob quit playing EVE.

The launcher is a failure while there are still client patches which are available only after the full client starts and which still require to restart the full client.

i still have to open the laucnher 6 times. why why????

before i hit a little check box, remove downloaded data, now i gotta go in and manually export and then import 6 times.

how is that making it easier?

Patches with the launcher. WHY OH WHY the root of the game install? Surely the appdata\local\ccp\eve\patches dir would be more sensible and allow easier multi client patching using the launcher?

Just some thoughts.
I have to be honest, that's pretty bad design. You shouldn't be keeping old patches in the client directory; there are numerous Windows development best practice guidelines that suggest not doing that. This is what ProgramData is for.

Just a weird little thing.

Running Windows 7 here. When I click an application in the task bar multiple times after eachother, the window will come to the front - minimize - rinse and repeat.

This doesn't seem to happen with the launcher. It just stays in front.

Not a major issue, but it's annoying.

I really like the ability to double-click outstanding market orders and have it bring up the market details of that item. This helps when updating many, many orders. I remember requesting this a while back ago, so thank you CCP! It made life a little easier for traders.

In that request, there was something else I had asked for but I didn't see in this patch. When you modify an order, the window opens up. In that window, there is the current amount of the order. That amount is NOT highlighted by default. You have to either double click on it, or hit Control+A. Would it be possible to have that amount highlighted by default when the Modify Order window is opened?

By having it highlighted by default, it would eliminate one more step in the order update process. You can just go to Modify Order, and type in the new amount! Right now, it's Modify Order, double click on order amount, enter new amount. I know it's a minor issue, but multiplied by almost 200 orders, it gets tedious. Thoughts?

Another thing I noticed, when selling an item from the Assets window, double clicking that item doesn't bring up its market details. Could this be added to the Assets window as well, like it was done to the Orders window???

Our plan is to move this functionality into the Launcher in the near future. For the initial release, we didn't want to change too many things at the same time.

The Patcher itself worked fine... BUT

Serious FPS Problems....EvilEvilEvil

Down to 5-10 fps when at planet, 2-8 when entering incusion site.
Max FPS is on warp with 25-30 fps

SOLVED: Reset all settings with launcher tool

Tried all out, lowes settings, best performance, Interval imidiate, one, default, four.. etc.. no changes...

never had problems before.. TwistedRollQuestionQuestionQuestionEvil

Noticed two bugs:

1. http://ssmaker.ru/ff06cf2a.png those strange symbols in menu - i hope i don't get punished for seeing them :)
2. http://ssmaker.ru/f9c46856.png target painter's "duration" bar is overlapping "shield" bar, also a space between shield/armor/structure bars seems to be more wide than before.

I've cleaned game cache with Launcher tool, didn't helped.

How do I launch my multiple clients? All my settings are lost in each client.

In the past I would install and it would create an "Eve Online". I would copy the entire install and rename the copy to "Eve Online 2" and another copy as "Eve Online 3".

Then I would edit each of the info.plist file in the respective folder and then add a number after the lines that had "Eve Online" . Thus I would have 2 clients, each with "Eve Online 2" and "Eve Online 3".

This worked extremely well with no problems.


Now:
All the settings for both EO2 and EO3 both point to the default "Eve Online" settings which will not do.

Info and Account Management links on the Eve Launcher etc spawn an IE window and not a Firefox window, even when Firefox is set as default browser for everything else on my PC...

Really? You forcing us to use IE...?
