You must check something else as well, since in my case Eve client is in C:\Games\Eve and EveMon is in C:\Games\EveMon.

Bingo, that's what I was looking for. Fix pending a full test and should be out soon.

Thank you :CCP: for wiping all of my settings again. I appreciate the opportunity to have to re-do all 29273 shortcuts, windows and dialog boxes that I had set up just like I wanted before the "patch". Seriously guys, will you EVER test you crap before you release it? This is not the first time all the options got wiped.

If you're on win7, 64 bit,
Check if CCP has made a new folder in your %appdata%\Local\CCP\Eve

If so, do this:

Browse to
%appdata%\Local \CCP\EVE\c_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility

Copy the folder named "settings" from here into this folder and overwrite:

%appdata%\Local \CCP\EVE\c_progra~2_ccp_eve_tranquility

Credits go to Miss President
Although according to a CCP post it should have already been fixed, but it never hurts to check.

Edit: I would link Miss Presidents' evegate profile and the CCP post, but it seems the boards don't like to parse the url tag.

Thanks I will try that. Of course, I already went through the pain of resetting most of my shortcuts.....for multiple clients. Good to know that CCP doesn't test on such uncommon platforms as say... windows 7 (64bit).

I'm running Window 7 Professional 64-bit. All versions of the V1.5.x patch have worked perfectly on my PC (/me knocks on wood). Saying something like "CCP doesn't test" is a bit arrogant based on very small selection of people with problems. The tens of thousands who don't have problems don't usually even read issues threads, let alone post in them.

Amazing, the latest patch has completely wiped all my settings as though I were using a fresh install! No names saved in the login screen, no remembered window positions, nothing all gone!

A good job I told my guys to set a long skill, I thought those days were behind us. Ah well, tis just a sign that the good CCP is here I guess, and not the one that watches our actions not our words.

The Gaming MoD - retro to modern, console to MMO, I blog about it if it's a game and I'm interested in it. Yes, I play games other than Eve and I don't care if you think I'm wrong.

As someone else mentioned several pages back, lack of separators in D-Scan Range field is brutal. This was removed why?

Hoping the overview issues (toggle for lock please if only one thing gets fixed) get corrected. Still no real feedback on the poll you obviously saw the need to have us take. You read the results, right? Right?

Please fix the problems you have introduced for those of us who like PvP (even those of us who are not that great at it, such as myself). I find myself avoiding 25+ size fleets, the overview can become extremely problematic at that point.

Graphic changes however have been quite nice IMHO over the last few patches. Many of the UI changes (with the glaring exception of the overview) I am quite pleased with.

I would also like a doughnut, they are very tasty and put a smile on my face.

I noticed in the fitting screen weapons don't show the attributes of various munitions when loaded, mainly the range attribute. I loaded up my 425mm ac's with -50%, 0% and +60% range attribute Republic Fleet ammo and then checked info on the 425's for optimal and falloff ranges. All of them showed the same range attributes.

Sad

I should have checked but I think it's only listing the base attribute of the module itself, like when it's not fitted to ship.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if skills are still being applied to the attributes.

Shocked

On a side note, the launcher worked just fine on my computer. Also thanks for fixing the sound and text info issues in-game.

On the plus side looks like the main sound bug was fixed pretty promptly :D (atleast doesn't seem to be a problem any more for me on either client on any PC I use).

Another thing, it seems the NPC Avatar portraits are showing as shadows only. This is in stations as well as in the Agent interaction text box and Agent 'show info' box. Agents in Space don't seem to be affected.

Also it looks like the text issue hasn't been completely fixed. Also the font size of all text in-game is really small.

I just spoke to Sister Alitura, actually her shadow, to restart the SoE Epic Arc and this is in the initial Agent interaction text box:

I understand the launcher will make development of the game much easier. That's cool. It still remains an extra screen to click-through for us poor, RSI-inflicted players. OR DOES IT? Sure, we can turn it off, but then we miss that being-included vibe that is so important. How about a different solution?

Would it be possible to make a change so that if the launcher has focus then hitting return will have the same effect as clicking 'play'? That would be pretty awesome, as well as reflecting the same functionality seen on the character select screen that I've come to love.

No more having to position the mouse! No more working out which button on the Mac mouse to press! Just hit return and go!

I really like the new launcher. It makes it a lot easier to navigate to other eve related links (youtube, eve news, etc.)

In the future when/if Dust is released on the PC maybe the dust client will be added to this launcher so we can easily switch from eve spaceships to eve fps.

Question: If i leave the launcher open on my home computer while i'm at work, will it automatically update my client so it's ready when i get home?

I take my original statement back. The launcher is pointless....

At first i thought the news panel in the launcher would be updated to suit the new feed we get on the normal login, enabling me to read the information in my own time. The launcher does nothing for me and just added to the processes needed to play eve.

Seems CCP is no longer looking at this thread.

Ugh

Got the same text message in the initial agent interaction box of Arsten Takalo for the Minmatar Epic Arc:

UI/Agents/DefaultMessages/MissionConfirmArcRestart

However, his portrait shows correctly.

I like the new launcher and the reasons you put out there makes sense.

But in God's name were you thinking when you changed the module names? I mean what the hell! Of course were the old names difficult and somewhat confusing to new players, but guess what: so are the new ones. Dammit. Its a complicated game. As long as you don't use "better ...", "even better ..." and "best ..." in the name it will always be confusing.

Now you also managed to confuse the old players along with the new ones. Great job.

What was that on Fanfest with the "user centered design"? I wonder how the name changes fit in there, since I certainly can't remember anyone leaving the game because the modules had to complicated names.

Cant even get the launcher to down load it stops at 15% and then proceeds to kill any other applications i may have running. I guess after 6 years its time to find the cancel subscriptions button as I'm not going to spend any more time trying to get it to work. Good work CCP you've just lost another long time player.

The sound falloff issue was partially resolved, now instead of being able to hear all sounds from any distance you can't hear sounds if you zoom even a little ways away from your ship. The launcher sounds are a bit muffled as well and the terrible new salvager sound still gets stuck sometimes and doesn't go way unless you re-log. I've had problems with my shield booster lately as well, gistii b-type small shield booster to be exact. If I deactivate it during the current cycle (pulse it) it has a tendency to get stuck in the "flashing red about to deactivate" stage but it continues to cycle and nothing short of jumping through a stargate , docking or offlining the module will make it stop. Wouldn't be much of a problem if it didn't continue to eat capacitor until it kills the cap but it does. The overview still needs fixing, I never asked for this terrible overview locking mess with mouseover and I certainly didn't ask for overview objects to remain in the overview for up to two seconds after they/you leave grid/explode/ect. Please make these things optional if you insist on them being part of the game, there was nothing wrong with the ctrl to lock overview mechanic in the first place.
