I dunno, figure out what your corp needs one for and then go find an alliance that does that? There's like a bajillion of them out there, you could always go talk to some. Socialize! Network! Recruitment forums!

Apologies but sometimes you need to have some flame proof armor on before talking to some players on the forums Smile

As to your question, the Alliance & Corporation Recruitment channel have a lot of groups looking for new pilots all the time. Some advice when applying would include:

* Listing your skills on Eveboard. Many recruiters will want to check your skills to see how you would best fit in their corporation.

* Be prepared to allow recruiters access to your Limited API key which you can find here.

* Research the Alliance you wish to join. What do they do i.e. piracy, null sec, industrial. Where are they based? What sort of ops do they have.

first, get a thicker skin, second, competent alliances are formed by mutual bonds. find some people that you work well with and go from there. failing that, pick a part of 0.0 you want to be involved in and approach the alliances in that area. You are getting snarky remarks because your question is about as vague as they come and indicate a degree of naivete that suggests you would not be a good person to ally with anyway.

Thank you. I was vague because really i was looking for a simple " in this direction" i figured the alliance and recruitment thread was it but i didnt see a lot of people taking about it there. Wasnt sure if there was another area in which alliances looking for corps and what their particular allies do. Thank you again, i will try to be more specific in the future.

Any alliance worth their salt won't touch EVE-O recruitment with a 10 foot pole.

Find some alliances that interest you and get in contact with their smaller corps/renters and start there. Don't pay any isk to be recruited either, or give any assets to anyone.

Oh don't listen to kitty, murph. lol.

Although, factually she' s correct in every regard. She could have presented it a bit more tactfully.

My advice is figure out what you like to do in eve the most and look for corps that focus on that. Overall you're looking for good people to fly with who aren't assholes. *coughs and points at kitty*

As previously reccomended by me and CCP Nav. check out the recruitment channels.

Also you can use other mediums aka. killboards/youtube/ evesearch. etc.
