EVE Online Pub Quiz - Prizes :)

The quiz is now over. The top scores, prizes and answers are as follows...

Greg Valanti: 19/24 - 50Mil Prize
War Kitten: 19/24 - 50Mil Prize
Julie Sanders: 18/24
Drew Solaert: 17/24
Demolishar: 16/24

It was very close. Greg posted 19/24 correctly before War Kitten posted their 19/24 correct post, however, Greg double-answered one question and War kitten technically got 19 out of their previous posts combined. Long story short; I split the 100mil winnings 50:50 because this seems fair and I cannot be bothered to try and work out some sub-rule set of a thing I dreamt up whilst waiting on a fleet lol. Prizes will be sent over later when I log in game. They will arrive - please don't panic. :)

If you think I made a mistake some how or I derped a count then EVE mail me in the next 6 hours. After this time I will release prize funds.

WACK's EVE-ONLINE PUB QUIZ

Rule 1: Winner is first correct (or most correct) answer posted here before Sun 11th 2012 23:00 EVE Time.
Rule 2: DO NOT EDIT YOUR POST. If you edit the post I cannot tell if you cheated. Re-posting new ideas is fine.

ROUND I - Pictures

In the link below are 8 pictures that kind of look a bit like certain ships. I took them from around the house.
NOTE: The answers 1-8 are all T1 hulls (inc faction). Also there are two potential correct answers to question 7.

The following are cryptic clues to ship names. You may not get all of these. Some are a bit wacky and are intentionally hard to make competition more ... eh... 'fun'. Lol

...... Mastodon- Troy Sanders is the lead singer of this band.
18. Rum & juice.
...... Hurricane - name of a cocktail
19. You'll have to agree to disagree.
...... Arbitrator - general definition of arbitration
20. Acedia.
...... Sin - Acedia means "Sloth", one of the 7 deadly sins
21. Is that a cat or do Myu eyes deceive me?
...... Caracal. Myu is a shape-changing cat in the Wolfs Rain series.
22. Aha, you're certainly not unobservant!
...... Vigilant. Double-negative, observant is a synonym for vigilant. Used "...ant" to distinguish from "Vigil".
23. Pretty grim.
...... Reaper. As in "Grim Reaper"
24. Yeah I used to be their leader until I took an arrow below the knee.
...... Myrmidon. Achilles took an arrow to the heel and led the Myrmidons.

I've got a pretty good stab at most of it, but WTF is "Tojan sanders" ?

Did you spell "Trojan" wrong (like you did "myu"), or do you really mean this bastardized modification of a Trans-Am called a Tojan ?

I was afraid of that... all I can think to link there is the new defensive back coach for the Trojans, Marvin Sanders. If that's the tie-in, it's obscure to say the least for the multi-national Eve crowd. I'm an American football fan myself, but still don't get it because I don't pay attention to college football.

And if that's not the link - well then I'm still experiencing a bit of fail :)

As a hint, I'll 'splain how I came up with the answer to 24. "Yeah I used to be their leader until I took an arrow below the knee."

The "arrow to the knee" reference is to the Skyrim guards - if you're up on your internet memes, you probably knew that. But the OP modified it slightly to "arrow below the knee", and I think that's significant, and the meme is a red herring.

A very famous person, if you know your Greek Mythology, who used to lead a group of warriors until he took an arrow "below the knee", was Achilles.

Achilles was the leader of a group called the Myrmidons.

I love this kind of stuff :)

You can post as many times as you like and this is mainly for fun. I'm not looking to 'disqualify' people lol. I just said not to edit existing posts to be fair and prevent people posting early then copying later answers.

I know what you mean about the "mail" method but its kinda fun to talk about the answers too. It's all in one thread after all.
