I've constantly been caught off-guard when mining, transporting, etc. I honestly don't want to watch myself do something continuously for 3 hours straight.

Options for LOUD LOUD alarms and flashing lights when getting attacked, locked on, shot at, or when lowsec people come within a certain radius of you would be a GREAT idea. I would prefer to not have to watch myself 24/7. The game would be enhanced with this idea.

I would like proximity alarms, but it should be an easily toggleable feature. Like a big button that I can press right in the middle of my screen, "activate alarms" this will make it so I don't actually have to pay attention to a game I'm playing.

PS. I am +1ing this idea, BUT randomly putting EMPASIZED words in CAPS is annoying and deserves a sarcastic answer.

MMOs come and go, but Eve remains.  -Garresh-

Stupid IDEA. Watch WHAT you are doying OR if you are too tired / wana WATCH tv / etc just AND simply STOP playing for THE moment.

I wrote this in your's language, soo you can understand it more easily :-P

CCP really please dont use Upgraded, Limited, Experimental and Prototype in item names. It sounds like the item is actually worse than basic meta 1 item. Use Calibrated, Enhanced, Optimized and Upgraded. Its really easy to understand that the item is better than meta 1 and its also in alphabetic order.

To begin with, I assume you're talking about in high sec. If not, you deserve to lose all your ships for not paying attention.

I often do semi AFK mining and do understand what you mean.

However, there is already a method of knowing when you're being locked. Just turn up the sound on your PC and you'll get the "I'm being locked" noise loudly. As for whether potentially nasty people are near you, who cares? If they start to shoot you Concord will come. If not, as I said, who cares? It's not like you could do much other than watch if someone in high sec started shooting you if you're in a mining ship anyway.

There are already sound alerts in the game. All you need to do to make them louder is turn your volume up.

As for people not liking your way of writing, they're right and you're wrong. At best you look like an ill-educated fool and at worst you look like someone who knows better but doesn't have the sense to act on it. Either way people aren't that likely to take you seriously writing like that as can be seen from the responses.

I hope you take this as it's intended. I'll know if you haven't because you'll respond with something like you just did.

Pointless for high sec tbh, I only need 1 volley to kill your hulk/industrial. You'll be dead before you ever hear that proposed alarm. Same applies to low/null sec.

I've seen you making a number of ideas, so far, none of them have been good.

This is up there with "I want an option where I can click on another players ship and have it tell me if my ship will kill theirs or not"

No. For all the reasons stated above already, essentially not needed and stupid. Your ideas are generally terrible - please stop posting.

this....unless your ganker has no electronics skill lock will be fast and then point and boom.

Low and 0.0 sleepy ratters/miners will face 2-3 people easy most times. Or a soloist usually spec'd to kill as quickly as possible since soloists know they need to drop ships quick before back up can do something about it.

that butterfly effect trailer for eve 2.5 years ago lied to you. That hulk the wolf saved that tanked several assailants waitng for help to arrive.....yeah, that doesn't happen in this game.

Perhaps if you stopped posting terrible posts that contain bad ideas all over F&I, you would not get caught off guard so much. Or use the "volume" control on your computer.
