Buff to all tech 1 ships

I propose a new skill book. A set of ship specialization skill books for specific T1 ships.
For example
Gallente Battle Ship Dominix Specialization:
Five Percent bonus to drone hit points and damage per level

Gallente Battleship Megathron Specialization
Five Percent Bonus to Railguun damage and falloff

and so on and so forth, Just enhance the specific role the ships are intended to fullfil. And have it for frigates, cruisers, and battleships. It would allow more specialized training into more specific roles and allow more t-1 usage.

Yes, I complain about things I don't like.

Why?

There is already a process for skilling up and improving t1 ship stats. Its called level 5ing everything and buying the T2 version. What you really seem to want is better ships, for less ISK and SP invested.

No. That's even worse than replacing everyone with younger, edgier versions of themselves.

The last thing the game needs is more training required to get the most out of your ship, and the absolute worst kind of training in the game is the skills that are only applicable to a small group of ships. Your proposal takes the worst two aspects of EVE and multiplies them together...

Understand that ships need to be balanced around what their performance will be like in the hands of a skilled pilot, and you'll realize what you're actually proposing is a serious nerf, not a buff. It will just make it that much longer a slog for players to get to the point of flying their ship effectively.

I'd be ok with this idea if the bonuses were negligble, but in the end, made a tech I ship equal (not better) than its tech 2 counterpart. Of course this would ruin the Tech 2 variants, unless their building requirements were lowered. Or the Tech I's increased.

T1 does need attention.

Even with Adv weaps upgrades 5 and a PG Implant you can't get a full rack of meta 4 Pulse on an Omen.
Hyperion goes unstable on the Cap with a single large Aco armor rep. So many T1 are cripple fit by default.

Is that a PvE hyperion or a PvP?

For PvE, stick a few CCC rigs on and four cap recharges and you'll be fine. In PvP the hyperion is an epic cheap solo boat in the right hands, couple of medium cap boosters managed well, with two LARPs some EANMs and you'll have an epic tank.

As for the omen, I just fitted one up that does 343 dps with drones, 26k EHP. You can even swap those drones out for ECM drones, fine it's not as good as an omen navy issue or a HAC but what do you expect from a ship that costs 5.5m and takes a few days to train for?

cap stable is overrated Cool
