ideal to fix lag though sov system change

If ya want to fix lag...,as ive always said if fielding 1000+ ppl onto 1 grid creats to much lag to be playable..then dont..field 3-4 groups at 3-4 differnt locations at the same time, attcking differnt things at once...make sov constellation based and not single system based, forceing multiple locations to be attacked at once..not just 1, thus breaking up the blobfest from hell..and ya fix lag

Though that would mean FC'in might actually be hard..but o well


System using cluster server system to run eve...set 1 system in each con to a differnt box so system aint overloaded when multi systems have pvp in them in 1 con...would also help with lag.....

You can do slight changes to the game to increase the on the field numbers,but the problem well always remain as then more bodys well just apper on the field. So force the gameplay change and make ppl multitask and is a simply fix for lag...as i dont see any allaince fielding 4-500 man fleets anytime soon at the same time.......DOES anyone else?

And as no single allaince can field 4-500 man fllets at once..would help smaller allainces teaming toghater to breakup the sov lock in 0.0...might make 0.0 fun and intresting again

People have been asking for a drake nerf for years.


Add to this the fact that lag has been improving overall (other than unexpected fleet fights, though tidi seems to work somewhat), and it would seem you are full of pointless conjecture.

To think that a drake nerf is being prepared because it will reduce lag is missing the point. Go back and read the threads.

The Drake and heavy missiles are far and away the most used ship and weapon system in the game for pvp and pve. That is why CCP will be nerfing them.

Don't worry though, so many people fly the damn things CCP will not be nerfing them harshly like they did the Myrm, web boats, and damp boats. They might actually end up better in some aspects, although it would be great if they received the same treatment as other ships and mods got. The absolute ocean of tears would be glorious.Twisted

ok..ok..edited the other part as it was takjing away from second part,...but ya i know ppl have asked for it fore years...but there are alot of reason not to tounch it..but ya..it only happing as more ppl complaining about it now..as its used in pvp alot now..whivh is odd as in 08 when i use to use one for missions..everyone in the game flamed anyone trying to pvp in one..lol..and now..ehh

Yeah, force the attacker to split his forces, while the defender can concentrate his entire fleet at one point and stop the attack, both through overwhelming numbers and also because the attacker, like you said, needs all of the attacks to be successful at the same time so stopping one is the same as stopping them all.

This is a flawed idea.

No not nessecarlly...if it were to run on control timers....for lets say 4 attack points..controling 3 of 4 for set time would kill that issue..so..again not really,and after the attackers took 3..if the defenders tryed to use that huge fleet they used to defend one..to take one of those 3 that where already taken..the attakers could just take the one they left..so....

The whole point behind the ideal is instead of everyone trying to take 1 system at a time...why not try to take 3-4 at the same time.....doing a system like that might have drawbacks to the defenders..but..instead of a few alliances holding huge chunks of the map...they would be forced to only control what they can acually defend..and not just releying on dropping 100+ cap on 1 spot


So if a con had 4 attack spots..capture 3 of 4...24 hours later defend the 3 you captured for set time...or defend 2 and capture another,controlling the majority .....that would eliminate the whole defenders using 1 huge fleet..


It is just a ideal..sure ccp could tweak the mech's alittle to make a system such as that
