For along time the CSM has been branded useless because most players haven't a friggin clue where they vote or how they read up on the candidates. The CSM IS RUN BY PVPERS by pvpers for the pvpers. Whislt i personally do not object to this i fear the actualy point of the CSM has become ABJECT to the point where we may aswell hand Mittani the keys to CCP's head office and let him run things.

Goons are what they are but then they are the class of player this game attracts.

Voteing needs to change, each candidate should be able to post on a Eve blog site and have it linked ingame to a new *Neocom* button which players can read at there leasure and decide who they want to vote for by a SIMPLE poll accessable ingame.

So the ENTIRE population of EvE Online gets to read about there CSM candidates and decided for themselfs who to vote for. No have ten thousand goons vote for one player and he wins by default.

Having a blog site for potential candidates and having a simple say 10/10 candidtaes with a *vote for the most favoured three you like*. Then when that vote is done, put the most favoured three up on the poll again and give people a month to REVOTE on who they want but when this is done SEND A MESSAGE ingame to ALL PLAYERS asking for there votes with web links and directions to the neocom button.

This system would be incredibly easy to setup. There is no excuse. Sort the CSM out.

CSM should never have existed and was a mistake particularly as this is a games company encouraging selfish assholes to come out of the woodwork, I leave you this video that will explain everything.

CSM is advertised here on the forums, on the log in screen, in the news you seen upon log in, on eve radio, and is chatted about in all large alliances and in the local chat of every single high population system. It is near impossible to not know about this.

In a PvP based game this is a good thing.


















(And yes, industry is PvP, trading is PvP, fooking T1 battleship people in incursions with better shiny ships is PvP).

Aside from any side taking regarding the CSM, i think voting should be as OP stated. A "political" screen on the neocom that flashes when a player is required to vote on something. No more excuses for not taking part, and maybe even a few less "the mattini is bad and shouldnt be on the CSM cus he is -" threads. Win Win.

I'm not a big fan of the OP. However, I'm less of a fan of the Goonwaffle Committee For The Betterment of EVE (The CSM).
