It's almost as if people are dropping "death cans" along your path to keep you busy. Couldn't have anything to do with your considerable media presence on the summit, could it?

This rescue involved one blued can with 21 survivors aboard and one yellow with 182. Every now and then, I will send a message to the pilot asking for a reason to be given for his or her actions. Thus was the case today with the second pilot. We shall see if she responds.

Ms. Leyd's response was quick. Here is the communication exchange. Her response is first followed by my request sent earlier.

Liberation. I couldn't take them, being as how an honest business woman's reputation would be tainted forever for helping fugitives escape to Caldari space...

...and luckily, there are people like you patrolling the borders. Besides, wouldn't you agree that even the eventuality of death is more humane than the Amarrian Vitoc method?

Sincerely,
Angela

To: Angela Leyd,

Ms. Leyd,
Today, I rescued 182 slaves that you jettisoned in to space to die at a border crossing. I would like to know what reason you had for doing this.

Sincerely,

I hope Bowman and May Cotton can swing a deal with the SIsters soon. If Edaine says he NUVOS is going to work towards another 500,000 Matriculants, he means it. I hope to hear from the Cottons sometime tonight or tomorrow.

Just how do you plan to provide basic care like water, and food? The Holder cares for the held. Your pipe dreams will cause much suffering. I cannot believe that you have the infrastructure to do what you claim. The Cresthills have generations of experience in managing healthy slave communities. You talk a good game about communities, but have little experience in making them happen. What happens when sickness comes, or supplies run short? Not only to you spiritually condemn those you rescue, but you also endanger their very physical well-being. You are Criminals of Ston and hypocrites.

Towards the end of my patrol shift yesterday, a good number of survivors were rescued from a single death can. What was unusual was that my crew found the people inside separated into two groups, one numbering 362 and the other numbering 92. We can only assume that they were two separate groups that had been destined for sale somewhere and then dumped at the border. I'll check back with the Elders later to see if there is a story to it.

Medea Sternenkind 362 lives, and 92 lives, total of 454 lives

And to our fresh faced Amarrian "friend:" Your questions are quite legit, actually. DSTON and friends generate millions of liters of water on pilot owned planetary facilities. These supply our station based Matriculation Centers with more than sufficient levels to meet both the drinking and sanitary needs that we have. Food is relatively inexpensive for the capsuleer, even for "poor" capsuleers such as ourselves. Edaine Numenor of NUVOS also has more extensive planetary facilities producing all our protein needs. Our Vocational facilities in Korama have an extensive agronomy department meeting our plant growth needs.

Edit: Oh I forget to mention that we have received many donations of Dairy, frozen food, anti-biotics, spirits, even delecacies. We are amply supplied.

You wrongly assume, that we don't plan. We do. But, thanks for your concern anyway.

Today, while carrying out my duties as a faithful Amarrian, I "rescued" 20 blood cult militants. Ten were brought to my Theology Council Agent for righteous judgement for their crimes. The other ten were given to me. These ten will become my slaves and they will be held for the purposes of God. I will not abuse them by letting them persist in their blood heresies nor will I let them flounder in false liberty. They will enter my loving discipline and I will show them the ways of God. Those who follow well will experience loyalty, honor, and the glories of our Godly Empire. Those who resist will be disciplined firmly but fairly. They will not be abused or killed. They will be appropriately "held" for God, for that is what a Holder does.

Good will come to them through the propriety and righteousness of merciful Holdership.

There you go, Criminals of Ston. That is my Matriculation program. These will be Matriculated into the ways of God; into true freedom, not the falsehood that you call freedom.

A rescue performed this afternoon: I came upon four jet cans in one area, two of which were death cans. From the first, 39 survivors were rescued. From the second, 10 former slaves, 7 hounds and 4 slave traders were rescued. I caught myself today forgetting to check if the pilots were still in system. This still happens, especially when there are multiple cans to search. I get flustered them forget. I must be more careful, not just for me, but for those I rescue.

Rescued 3 precious lives from death this morning. It never ceases to be a humbling experience to be at that place and time.

Since Manwe is up in Molden heath waiting for Amy's voluval, he asked me to help with the new centers. I am 20 technical engineers from Center #2 and also additional security personnel to pur office in Fahruni. The Tech engineers will be setting up the extensive communication network that we will need in the new Centers. This includes public service holo-projectors in all public areas and personal access projectors in all living quarters. This will not take too long as station tech personnel will be there to assist. I am also to pick up the remaining supply of vitoc and bring that along. Medical personnel in the centers do not yet have a supply as this is not part of their normal treatment regimens. Few Security personnel are needed as existing personnel will meet most needs. Our crew is coming to help orientate existing crews to the unique procedures and needs of Matriculation Centers.

Manwe also asked me to inspect the new office and staff it as I see fit. That I will tryto do while continuing to get back to regular patrols.

In response to these alleged actions against worshippers hunt-and-grab raids will be stepped up against Amarrian settlements within the Zemont Constellation, their blood will be a price you pay for your ignorance.

Through the use of our hallowed bleeding machines we will make them whole, they will see the error of their ways and reach enlightenment as we drain the last drop of life from their mortal trappings.

Sometimes I just worry too much. I was a little concerned about the issue of dealing with potentially large numbers of incoming former slaves who were Vitoc dependent. We seldoem encounter it in our rescue work but with large numbers on the way, I thought that we might be ill equipped to deal with it. So, I did an inventory. We have exactly 2 million 1cc doses of vitoc for our new centers. I think we have it covered for some time.

Edit: I decided just to edit this post rather than doing a bunch of little updates. The Tech engineers have asked be to bring them Pyroxery mining crystals. Why? Apparently, they want to use them as resolution enhancers in the gigantic public announcement holo-systems to be used on the new station centers. They are describing the projectors as 3 beamed emitters that rotate to project three massive pictures with focused polarized sound projectors. Each projection covers a different news, info, or whatever announcement that needs to be made. Priority is to install them in the dis-embarkation areas in preparation for the new arrivals, then in the common areas as well. OK, I will get those for you. "O by the way," they said, 'Could you get us uh, something good to drink, not coffee." By this I assume they means spirits. I will see what I can do.

I will also be hauling a full cargo hold of water on the next trip. Our water production exceeds our needs right now. That is good.

I also just realized that the request to search for a pilot's parents is going to greatly expand in the next few days. Maybe, just maybe...

This rescue of 19 people happened late this morning while returning from receiving another group from NUVOS. We will centrally receive all new Matriculants from NUVOS at our office facility in Fahruni. From there they will be brought to one of five Centers established with the help of Aliastra, The Sisters of Eve and Freedom Extension. We appreciate the massive resources shared for the purpose of helping house, feed, protect, educate, employ, medically treat, etc. The masses recently liberated.

Wall of Shame:

Manwe has asked me to take the responsibility to purchase a Fenrir for DSTON to use for the new capacity demands brought about by the activity of NUVOS. I have done so with great discomfort. I remember when all our ships were rookie ships and were named "vow of poverty." Things have changed. But, we have also learned to look beyond our trivial ideas of merely exploring the capsuleer psyche and have committed to the cause of freedom. This has stetched and changed all of us. When Manwe finishes his duties in Eldulf, he will have a lot of passenger transport to do. The new ship is being converted in the mean time from cargo fitting to passenger fitting.

Aside from sitting in his hangar next to some commodities, I highly doubt the Stoners have the infrastructure to handle, what is it now, hudreds of thousands of people? Entire municipal governments have a hard time with that. And these aren't people working (i.e. producing) for these centers like a population works for a city or in a station. Every one of their needs is on the backs of the four (4!) individuals currently in DSTON. Not to mention the crime rate and vagrancy increases in these places. I'm sure it's a peachy little utopia he has.

Answers here on questions of government that Manwe had put out. That should help with a few of the questions.

On my way back home, I encountered 2 cans by a gate, close together. Several ships were just sitting around, doing who knows what, but they were not helping those I found inside. I carefully aligned, positioned myself between the cans and got the people transferred off as quickly as my crew could. Some of the "elite slaves" were in poor condition but it was a fast and orderly operation. I quickly vacated the area as I suspected a trap set by the Slavers against those of us who do these rescues.

I rescued 7 Slavers, 5 Slaver Hounds and 47 Slaves from certain death in space today. They said they were left to die there by you.

I would like to know why you would do such a thing to people under your care.

If you must abandon someone, please leave them in a station and contract them to me. I will reimburse the cost of the contract.

The Disciples of Ston appreciate pilots like Gaufres who take the time to perform these rescues. No single pilot can always be where a rescue is needed but if more pilots like Gaufres are alet to the task, then fewer will die the horrors of a death can death. Thank you Gaufres. WATER DELIVERED

Before retiring to my CQ for some much needed rest, I was able to deliver over 4.7million liters of fresh water to each of three new Centers in Dresi. Manwe has also opened up corporate offices there to make things better organized and easier. Office rental is affordable in all three Freedom Extension locations. We will be locating about 350,000 new residents in each of these stations. Our water production is going well and will meet our needs for now.

My patrol times have been quiet lately, but I read that pilot Gaufres has rescued several lately. I am glad for this, for the Disciples are spread thin and unfortunately we can't cover everything all the time. I add my thanks and appreciation to Mr. Gaufres.

Since we have expanded our Matriculation program to include thousands of former slaves from the Khanid Kingdom, the inevitable has come to pass. We are now seeing former slaves of Gallentean, Caldari, Unknown, and even Amarrian descent from the slave markets of Khanid. This is beside the majority who are from the Minmatar tribes. Our challenge will be to take a careful census and to make sure that all cultural, racial and ethnic concerns are addressed and to find way to return those who wish to find their former homes.
