How to increase standings?

Hi, I played four years ago, quit and came back two weeks ago.

Problem is that I am -5.4 with Serpentis. I have set agent-finder to any corp, any faction, anywhere etc in hisec. But no agent will have me.

I have Diplomacy to 4.

Any suggestions how to improve my stanindings with them?

Thanks.

Serpentis don't have agents in highsec. If you want to work for them, it means going to 0.0(Curse/Fountain). That said I haven't done any missions for a while, but I recall CCP changing things, so that you always have access to lvl1 agent of a faction, so you can grind up your standings with them and you can always maximize your social skills to bring the standings up.

Thanks, but when I search, even lvl 1 serp agents are all in 0.0.

Is there another faction in hisec I can work for to increase my standings with the serps?

I guess you could try raising you faction stadings with someone they like, so you'd also gain slight gains with the serpentis, but that brings up another point. Why do you care about your serpentis standings, if you aren't willing to go to 0.0? All their agents and stations are there, so raising your standings won't do you any good, if you're just going to stay in highsec.

Thanks for your response Destination. It is my intentention to go to 0.0 when I work out how to play the game again.

I will do as you suggest and run some missions for 'friends' of the serps.

When I work out how to find their friends that is.

Just do show info on serpentis to see who they like and who likes them. I think your best bets are the angel cartel, the syndicate and thukker tribe. Thukker propably requires the most grinding, but it has highsec agents, while the cartel and syndicate offer the best gains, but are both 0.0 organizations too. Not much point grinding missions for them, since you could just as well go straight with serpentis agents. Good luck with it no matter what you decide to do and remember to stop shooting any more serpentis ships or accepting missions against them.

Serpentis (and the other NPC Pirate factions live in null-sec), you get bad standing easily with them as running missions for the major factions (Gal, Cald, Amarr, Minny) means you shoot pirates most of the time.

AFAIK having bad standing towards any NPC Pirate faction doesn't matter unless you are going to run missions from their agents itself.

List of 'home' space for the pirate NPC:

Guristas - Venal region
The Syndicate - Syndicate region
Angel Cartel - Curse region (Heaven Constellation)
Blood Raiders - Delve region
Sansha's Nation (non Incursion versions) - Stain region
Serpentis - Fountain region

EDIT:

Your standings should be at least -2 or better with a faction, corp or agent before you can even run level 1 missions for said entity.

As soon as I get my internet fixed I will act on the help.

Good Lord, I live in a big city and the internet is still crap!

And the UK government wants us all to have decent broadband lol

Stockport, 'greater' Manchester.

I recently moved from an area of Stockport which had fibre optic broadband. More fool me.

Jeez when one looks at the broadband figures for somewhere like South Korea.

If you're looking to repair Pirate Faction standings, take a look at this:

There's also some Pirate Epic Arc support packages available to help complete the Pirate Epic Arcs.
