For those that don't know:

EVE System > Channel MOTD: Welcome to the recruitment channel. This channel is intended for those players looking to find a new corporation, as well as those looking to enlist new players. Other activities, such as non-recruitment discussion is not permitted.

No scamming is allowed in this channel and this includes, but not limited to, using the recruitment channel as a platform to find or target players to scam. As per subject, we ask everyone to use their best judgment before contracting assets or ISK as part of corporation’s recruitment process and any deals made or finalized outside this channel are done at your own risk and responsibility.

An additional recruitment source is the Alliance and Corporation Recruitment Center section of the forums.

-

GM Haggis > Players are reminded that anyone charging you for corporation entry is more than likely scamming the everloving bejesus out of you, please report anyone convoing you after asking for a corp in this channel :)

-

The above is one of the dumber things you guys have done. One of the attractions to eve is that its a harsh dark place and that you can scam people. I can support protecting those who are < 1 year old but everyone else should be fair game and you should be going after things everyone hates like bots.

How exactly are you going to enforce this as well? If you intend to use the enigmatic logs, good luck those should still show nothing. Please don't run the game into the ground like you almost did with your amazing space barbies.

Hot sauce, yeah its too bad CCP is stopping easy scamming and boy are you pissed at how easy this game is becoming easier.

Thanks for running here and whining about it to us. We are now more informed.

Are you ******* kidding me? This isnt GuildWars or WOW, what the ****....

This has gotta be some bullshit. Eve common sense = Everything is allowed unless its IRL/GTC scamming. Adding these random rules, restricting what is a common eve practice... is ********. It absolutely goes against what eve is about...

Someone said its "easy scamming" yeah and so what? Survival of the fittest. If those idiots just recruit blindly out of Recruitment channel, that should be on their head, not mine. Thats their fault for being stupid.

A fool and his cash are easily parted... Until CCP draws up some arbitrary rules at least

"War declarations are never officially considered griefing and are not a bannable offense, and it has been repeatedly stated by the developers that the possibility for non-consensual PvP is an intended feature." - CCP

So if I am reading this correctly players who hate EVE are ruining the game by scamming in the official recruitment channel forcing CCP to move resources away from stopping Bots.

Perhaps if these gentlemen got more original instead of hanging out in a mostly newbie channel scamming easy mode CCP could get back to bot hunting.

EVE is supposed to be harsh and dark that is what draws people to the game not wannabe Scammers that can't step outside the CCP Channels because it is to cold.

It would be nice if that channel was full of newbies, but most of it is spam bots posting huge ads for terrible corporations or random trolls.

Its their channel, they can have whatever rule they want in it. Just like Help.

They can even charge entry if the mechanics allowed it (hmmm).

can
[kan; unstressed kuhn]   Origin
can
1   [kan; unstressed kuhn] auxiliary verb and verb, present singular 1st person can, 2nd can or (Archaic) canst, 3rd can, present plural can; past singular 1st person could, 2nd could or (Archaic) couldst, 3rd could, past plural could. For auxiliary verb: imperative, infinitive, and participles lacking. For verb (Obsolete): imperative can; infinitive can; past participle could; present participle cun·ning.
auxiliary verb
1.
to be able to; have the ability, power, or skill to: She can solve the problem easily, I'm sure.
2.
to know how to: He can play chess, although he's not particularly good at it.
3.
to have the power or means to: A dictator can impose his will on the people.
4.
to have the right or qualifications to: He can change whatever he wishes in the script.
5.
may; have permission to: Can I speak to you for a moment?

-

should
[shood]   Example Sentences Origin
should
   [shood]
auxiliary verb
1.
simple past tense of shall.
2.
(used to express condition): Were he to arrive, I should be pleased.
3.
must; ought (used to indicate duty, propriety, or expediency): You should not do that.
4.
would (used to make a statement less direct or blunt): I should think you would apologize.
Origin:
Middle English sholde, Old English sc(e)olde; see shall

Can be confused: could, should, would (see usage note at the current entry).

Synonyms
3. See must1.

Usage note
Rules similar to those for choosing between shall and will have long been advanced for should and would, but again the rules have had little effect on usage. In most constructions, would is the auxiliary chosen regardless of the person of the subject: If our allies would support the move, we would abandon any claim to sovereignty. You would be surprised at the complexity of the directions.

So what you are saying is that their is aggressive recruitment to help New Players get into the game but Scammers and Trolls are hurting new players and driving attention away from Bots.

Also I would like to assume you are not a terrible person and that shot insulting people with the disability Down Syndrome was just brought on by a small bout a rage coming from an all Cheetos diet. I took the liberty of reporting your post for you.

It is a shame if your offensive actions caused resources to be moved away from hunting bots where they belong.

I'll say my point again because you still don't get it. Scamming is one of the attractions to the game. Scamming people should be allowed no matter the area BUT (and a big BUT) players <1 year old (newbies) should be protected. Instead of making rules that are as solid as a highsec wardec they should be actively going after these bots. I mentioned one phenotype of bot about and that is the one in the recruitment channel spamming ads.

I'm not the only one wanting bots to die fiery deaths either look at these threads:

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=64897&find=unread
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=64101&find=unread

Those were only the low effort to find ones as well right here on the front page.

You should read the latest minutes from the december meeting, they talked about bots in it and what they are doing. Unless CCP putting resources into minutes pisses you off, and ruins the dark corner eve is suppose to exist in.
