New Goon vcode requirement - hacked accounts to ensue - will anybody be surprised?

Ok i'll bite, just because this troll turned out to be rather good.

They require full api including assets because they are privately run corporation that has certain standards for applicants. Wealth is one of the main things that define applicants persona and lets the recruiter to make informed decisions on who gets in and who doesn't. Such requirements are not prohibited by CCP and therefore Goon Swarm is free to require it.

As for your concern about hidden plot of personal information extraction with intent of using it against the applicant, i would reply that yes there is some truth in your concerns. It is a part of the reason for such requirement. However since such practice is not prohibited by "law" (CCP), they are free to do it even if they have no reason for it.

And then should you find those practices offensive or suspicious you are free to not apply for this privately run corporation and find one that better suits your needs. Membership in Goonswarm is not required in any way, shape or form.

Well let me know what you think of this, though i must warn if your reply will be limited to "invalid" then i will not care to respond anymore either.
