Always wondered where you Goonies (at least the ones you've authorized to post on the forums) do your like farming. Never enough to look into it but still wondered nonetheless. Ah well, just realized I still don't care enough to find out. I'll see myself out.

The Mittani gets his likes from the cult of personality surrounding him by virtue of his leadership; the same can be said of Vile Rat and of Weaselior. The official posters get a lot of likes for each of their posts, because they are genuinely popular. A few other posters, to include myself and Alikchi, just post a lot and as a result have a high number of likes spread across a high number of posts.

Sniping can help, too.

The Watchmen was a better graphic novel than it was a movie, in my opinion.

I love how the one with the most likes (and the most fraudulent ones) calls for the abolishment of like padding posts

What makes my likes fraudulent? Why does my identity matter?

did I say your identity mattered?

sorry, but I don't care what alliance or corp you're from and anyone with that many likes is padding, plain and simple

That said I'll still vote for you as CSM because I like like whores

I bought the original 1986 comics (novels) when they came-out, and I still have them, so I must concur. However, the movie was quite well done regardless of whether or not fans were expecting the "squid". Jackie Earle Haley absolutely nailed Rorschach's character. The movie also makes a good argument for the reintroduction of the intermission if it is viewed in a theater.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

I think having the likes system kills conversation, not only that it's going to turn every forum into youtube because everyone will be doing stupid comments like "Like my post if you think this idea is stupid" and then the forums will just become useless.

Youtube has gotten so stupid for the most part that I've actually had to download an addon that hides the comment section to prevent me from trolling those morons so let's not devolve EVE Online into that shall we?

A likebomb has been dropped on this thread.

And I agree with the OP. (if it is too late to remove like threads, give us a dislike or downvote option)

I don't really think anyone cares about likes... although I have a vague curiosity about the script being run to automatically go through the forums and auto assign likes.

I'm torn between being mildly amused by them at times, to occasionally feeling pity for those that use them...

.
.. but mostly I just really don't care or notice, much like most people ignore the fact that every one of the multitude of posts you make always has at least two likes... even if it's only to say "Hello Tippia". Smile

That'd be fun to see, I'm sure I could get an award for the most disliked person in short order. Pirate

Wait, there's a script you can run for that? Tell me you're serious because that is hilarious.

I don't like myself, buddy. There is no reason for me to do so. VWhat?V

I admittedly do link my threads to my squad in Goonfleet, though.

Of course... there is even instructions in this same forum and some CCP employees rolling their eyes in the same thread hoping to get their share of the likes.
