It's not your thread, it's CCP's thread, and they allow users to post on any thread provided they abide by the forum rules. As OP you can ask for this thread to be locked, but that wouldn't suit your purpose, would it?

Welcome to EVE, where anything not expressly forbidden is permitted Twisted

I LOVE YOU. I love comments that are honest and non-pretentious. Thank you!

I've never really understood why, when the English language is such an expressive vehicle, Natocha resorts not to swear-words (at least, those permitted under the forum rules), but to asterisks.

If you have something to say - or rather, to call me - kindly spell it out, dear heart.

Having exposed the essentially silly stand you've taken at the head of this thread, I feel obliged to return and gauge whether there has been any progress in the battle between your mouth and your ears, for supremacy. Thus far, it's all mouth, I regret to say.

No matter, I've subscribed to the thread, so - guess what? - it's our thread now, Natocha, yours and mine. You're sharing space with the New Order of Highsec - and CODE.!

Doesn't that make you feel all snug and warm inside?

As someone else has helpfully pointed out, you can ask for the thread to be locked if you agree with me that it isn't going anywhere useful (and was destined never to do so).

The offer of tea, still stands.

See, I did all that without once resorting to the use of swear-words, asterisks, or capitalisation.

Hi Natocha, thought you'd abandoned this thread. At this point I wonder whether it's worth your time pursuing it? Never mind, 'tis our thread, so it's probably a good idea if we meet up from time to time, you know, to exchange pleasantries...

"Have you heard the story about King Chanoat? He was neither rich nor poor, neither wise nor entirely foolish. He ruled his kingdom to the best of his limited abilities, and his subjects regarded him well, though not with unbridled enthusiasm. In short, his rule was as middling as you could possibly get.

His Queen had died many years previously, but their sons and daughters had married well enough - though not famously so - and gone to live in kingdoms scattered far and wide."

I'm sure you can work out for yourself, Natocha, the likely consequences of believing that such a stable situation could long endure. In short, trouble.

The trouble came in the form of groups of bandits; unprincipled, unscrupulous, and violent in the extreme. One after the other they began to beset his lands, with blaster, with missile, and with smartbomb.

Stark choices faced King Chanoat. After consulting with his Chief Court Counsellor, one Aes-Llug, he was forced to decide between making peace with the vicious bandits or persuading his people to help him defend the kingdom.

Which, Natocha, do you think was more likely to succeed? Perhaps there was some other solution?

I do enjoy our little chats. Remember, let me know if you visit London UK; tea and scones it is!

Such toxicity Natocha.

I've also noticed that everyone is so eager to explain why wardecs happen but nobody wants to say how to avoid getting killed in one. Seeing how the deaths in your killmail at the time of your post were in hisec, here's some things that can be done to avoid being a victim of the pvp carebears. Most of these should be common sense, but aren't.

Hisec pirates are looking for valuable kills (or any kills for that matter). If a wardecced corp gives them nothing to shoot, they usually won't reinstate a war. That being said, all it takes is one goof to lose a ship to make the war continue.

1. Avoid traveling between systems at all costs.

Wardeccers in hisec typically fit their ships for fast tackle and high dps in order to kill targets before they can escape through a stargate or warp away. Many of them also like to camp out at trade hubs or major trade routes and not bother hunting their prey. If you're already in a system and you see them pop up in local, it gives you time to dock-up at a station as they still have to warp to your location to attack you. Even if they have a scout in system you'll see them in local well before they show up on grid.

2. Use an alt character in a npc corp for trading

Since NPC corps cannot be wardecced, a character in an npc corp can be used to bring and sell materials in market and buy supplies for you. Just remember to avoid autopilot if carrying anything of value.

3. Operate in remote systems.

If your corp operates in regions with little traffic, you're less likely to be attacked even during wardecs for the reasons stated in point one.

4. Avoid going afk in space (unless cloaked on a safe)

Goes without saying. If you're afk, you can't see that hostile pilot warping on grid to kill you.

Don't call me Toxic. I find you toxic.

Anyway, thanks for your comments, but it's a bit outdated - I dealt with the situation months ago. This thread was just my way of venting my feelings about the game.

Hi Natocha; you can leave a request to the ISD in the text of your OP, asking them to close it - if you so wish.

So often missed when responding to others is being able to respond from with-in there perspective of things. Anyone who can't will not have the critical thinking abilities to help in the first place. There are always solutions, and good contacts to be made. Never let other people tell you how to play your game, you bought it you enjoy it how you see fit.
For most its just an attempt at fun. Sadly 'one mans fun, is an others hell' ... when i started i would have thought; high end (long term) players would prefer, and have the most (enjoyment and reward) from interacting with each other thus easing newer players into the game. Blatantly obvious are two things, the devs are allowing the players to dictate the social doctrine of the game. And most people are inclined to pick the very easiest route to the best reward. Sloven, lazy, self absorbed, and the emotionally weak only pick fights with the weak and defenseless. (not finger pointing anyone in the thread, most people here seem reasonable to some relative extent).
This thread is useful thank you Dasiy, i would not wish the task of posting this on anyone.
A "NERF" is in order, imo, but i can still have fun in the game.

Well this conversation has been unhelpful.

Guess I'll just move along to the next game.

These responses provided plenty of good info, you just don't like the answer. This game is 99% PvP, even ratters, mission runners, and miners are all actually competing with each other because most of market goods are produced and consumed by players. This is why no matter where you go in the game there is potential for other people to disrupt your activities. This is what the code is truly about, and exactly what the devs intended. If that isn't to your liking then you probably ought to find another game. EVE was here before you, and will be here after you.

Who asked you to comment on my thread?

It's not your thread. It's CCP's thread and you are just using it.
