I've always maintained that those who truly do not matter, don't warrant discussion.
Thus, if they are discussed, they matter.

Case in point, surely youve heard people discussing my own renowned exploits?

Well, I feel one should take the effort to get to know the other side who possesses a vastly different mindset. I guess I wouldn't have gotten this far if I attempted the same in their den, so I use the opportunity when I bump into them in C&P.

Though I guess I was late - Vlad turned into a nullbear.

But I haven't given up on getting on his impressive list one day. I'd be in excellent company.

Does anyone actually read the comments on minerbumping on a regular basis? The fact that one person keeps on posting about AG says more about that one person than about the "group" as a whole. I think I also once posted on the comments saying that one shouldn't post on the comments about them... now I have tried it on the forums. It wont work, but I tried.

I can remember the "colorful" comments very well. Admittedly, it's been a while since I've been on there..but it goes way back. Most of it AG bringing up AG, not so much the CODE members. I've been called many degrading and sickening names by those who call themselves the "good guys".

How've you been anyways Perf? Smile

If I had a nickel for every time someone said women don't play eve, I'd have a bag of nickels to whack the next person who said it..

That has happened, I have been in AG fleets flying logi which saved freighters, largest AG fleet I was in had 26 people, however because there is no reward as such it is very adhoc. I am merely looking at it from the gameplay of the actual entities in hisec, which is likely to be one man corps perhaps with a scout or webber which is where the balance is out of kilter. If every entity in hisec was made up of 200 man corps (using the 10% active rule here) then yes, but I do see your point.

Without bumping the Gankers would have to hunt and move fast, they would have to add faction police to their costs, or adjust for the suicide point having CONCORD arrive, bumping just makes it pretty lame for the freighter player, it is jump gate get suicide pointed, ship that pointed warps off having pointed the freighter just after hitting warp, then Macherial gets the first bump and then it is bumping until a fleet arrives. Whereas without bumping it would be pretty epic cat and mouse stuff. However I am aware that this would likely end freighter ganking because the people doing it rely so heavily on bumping, hence my suggestion of a counter with a random factor, though the comment about just adding more bumpers is pretty valid.

I guess CCP feel that without bumping freighter ganking would end and they could be right, but it is just lame from the point of view of the freighter pilot...

Actually you might be surprised, the real AG and HSM have a very good attitude contrary to what certain posters here think, all of them agree with the premise that hisec is not safe and agree that ganking has a place in the game, like I do, the only differences is in key mechanics and their affect on the gameplay.

And by the way, after 8 months in the game I made my way to NPC null and 7 months after that was in null, like a number of people I just got fed up with the N+1 and over-whelming firepower of certain coalitions which is why I found myself in hisec more and more so was looking for something challenging to do when in hisec.

Keep with that style of posting, you got my respect. o7

Well my experience was gankers coming into the AG channel and being very nasty, the mods just banned them, I would just have an amused exchange with them, but I understood that the real back and forth was during the US TZ I certainly never saw anything from the AG during my extended play time.

Anyway most people only see what they want to see or what is in front of their nose, but I honestly did not see what you say.

The core AG players are actually very good guys, and I noticed that you gave respect to Jennifer en Marland who is just excellent, so from that side of things I would o7 you for that.

What I'm talking about goes back several years. I haven't said anything on those comments in quite some time though.

You know, I am banned from their channels. Not that I have any interest in hanging around in their channel, but I found it interesting I was banned..so was my alt..neither of which I have ever said a word with. They just ban anyone who is in the mb channel at any given time when they have their spais in there.

And yes, Jen is cool. I've had the opportunity to fly both with and against. We're still 0-0..but much genuine respect given.

What about the freighter? Why not contact them, tell them you and your friends are trying to save him and suggested a few hundred million ISK as a fee. It's a darn sight better than dying and losing much more than that to gankers, no?

Black Pedro still wins on the viable alternative suggestion: Make warp disruptors used on freighters a suspect-level offence. You can now pretty much remove bumping and you'd have an interesting way of initiating fights.
